Tags list improvement (screenshots included)

Tags list is seriously wasting space. Too much unnecessary scrolling. In Pale Moon, the list of 30 tags looks like this:

And it could look like this:

What do you think?

I think you can't make a richListBox multi-column.

That screenshot is from bookmarks manager LinkStash.

So use LinkStash?

I prefer to have my bookmarks in my browser, one click away.

I've found an old extension Tags list in inline, which does something similar:

Image

This is the CSS code it is using:

Code: Select all

@namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);
@-moz-document  url(chrome://browser/content/browser.xul){

#editBMPanel_tagsSelector
{
  -moz-appearance: none;
  overflow-y:scroll;
}
#editBMPanel_tagsSelector > listitem,
#editBMPanel_tagsSelector > listitem > listcell,
#editBMPanel_tagsSelector > listitem > listcell > image,
#editBMPanel_tagsSelector > listitem > listcell > label
{
  display:inline;
}
#editBMPanel_tagsSelector > listitem
{
  margin-left:5px;
}
}

@-moz-document  url(chrome://browser/content/places/places.xul) ,
                url(chrome://browser/content/places/bookmarkProperties.xul){
#editBMPanel_tagsSelector
{
  -moz-appearance: none;
  overflow-y:scroll;
}
#editBMPanel_tagsSelector > listitem,
#editBMPanel_tagsSelector > listitem > listcell,
#editBMPanel_tagsSelector > listitem > listcell > image,
#editBMPanel_tagsSelector > listitem > listcell > label
{
  display:inline;
}
#editBMPanel_tagsSelector > listitem
{
  margin-left:5px;
}
}
Tried it with Stylem, but it doesn't work in Pale Moon, which doesn't make sense. It's still valid, right?
