[Solved] How do I update the flashplayer in Palemoon x64?
Adobe just updated the flashplayer, and when I check if my plugins are up to date in palemoon, it says that flash is out of date. When I click update, it takes me to adobes page to install the new flash, but when I install it, it doesn't update palemoons flash, just updates it for other browsers. I have been surfing and some sites come up telling me my flashplayer is out of date, so I need to know what to do to update the flashplayer/plugin in palemoon. Thanks for any help. I am running windows, and am no computer expert, but I can usually do everything I want online, so please be patient with me.. Thanks for any help.

There are 2 flashes- IE and non-IE. Is it possible that you only got the IE one?

Re: How do I update the flashplayer in Palemoon x64?
Welcome to the forum Ebokaman!
Somewhat to my surprise I entirely agree with you - after 3 attempts this morning I can't get Flash 11.5.502.146 to update to the latest version 11.5.502.149 in Pale Moon 15.4.1 on XP/SP3(32 bit).... and yet I have successfully updated Flash in IE8 and Firefox 18.0.2 which now both show the latest version when tested using Adobe's own Flash Test page: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ (or the Mozilla Plugin Check page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ or access via Add-ons Manager link in PM & FF).
So this is not just a PM x64 problem! Something odd going on here - I will now fully uninstall Flash and and then do a clean install rather than just running the update on top of earlier version.

I was wrong. I thought he was referring to Flash and not the Shockwave Player. I just updated that successfully on 2 computers so no problems here- except for Adobe always trying to add junk installs...

Re: How do I update the flashplayer in Palemoon x64?
After full uninstall of Flash Plugin (Revo Uninstaller found no leftovers after running Flash's built-in uninstaller) returned to Flash Test page: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ .... obviously Plugin gone.... so Pale Moon pop-up "Additional Plugins are required, etc".... accept "Install Missing Plugins" button....
Mozilla "Plugin Finder Service" window opened and ran ok.... BUT auto-install failed (on both XP and Win7).... accepted "Manual Install" button.... which just links back to Adobe's download page: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ .... downloaded and correctly installed latest Flash Player Plugin 11.5.502.149 into Pale Moon.... both Plugin test pages happy o/c
If problems use Adobe's Flash Uninstaller available from Flash Player Help page: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/ ... ndows.html
Not sure why Mozilla's Update Checker, Plugin Finder Service, and "on top" update methods fail.... but a full uninstall + clean install is successful.
EDIT: From Adobe's download page it appears latest stable release version has been updated to Flash 11.6.602.168 today.

Re: How do I update the flashplayer in Palemoon x64?
I use FileHippo's website as an alert to what update/upgrade is available. In the past, Flashplayer plugin software package can be downloaded from them. Lately, FileHippo added a "middleman" for the Flashplayer. So I use their link to Adobe's site to get the package as a download to install offline "on top" of current version. I got the 502.149 version 4 days ago. I'll check on the 602.168. And thanks to Blacklab, I get the Flashplayer update a day early.

I ended up finally getting it to update, but then just updated it again to the newest one, and all is well. Big thanks for all the answers!
