Re: New website design

Guys, like the new website styling ideas here, definitely more attractive than the current layout, my personal favourite is #3 marginally over #4.

Re: Status Bar enhancement ?

If you use OSB it's because like Moonchild you know perfectly that the icons are not all repositionable. So why this advice? The ''Customise Toolbars'' is a built in feature and that's the reason I make this suggestion and yes it has its limitations and that's why I further suggested using ''OSB'' ...

Re: Status Bar enhancement ?

Okay, please refer to my previous post which also advises an inbuilt method of achieving what you wish to do. Your further comment about the implementation of this add-on by default into PM can only be addressed by Moonchild as ''Pale Moon's'' developer, therefore please remember ''OSB'' is a third ...

Re: Status Bar enhancement ?

There is a way to organise, add and remove icons on the ''Status Bar'' - right click on status bar -> customize -> you can drag items onto the status bar and move icon positions within the status bar. There is also an add-on ''Organise Status Bar'' which I find is better, unfortunately it is no long...

: smile, grin, :P, ;) etc seem standard/more natural. The ones used in this forum dont seem much natural, IMHO. I specially dislike " :D :) :( :P " @Rohugh: Ok, being a bit pedantic I know, but I don't think MC would be over the moon with being credited for this. :P you have listed as both st...

The current set is fine with maybe a few additions in the same style if some freebies are available. :)

Re: Browser initially freezes on Amazon pages

Have they recently updated their website? Using PM 15.2 desktop version, I too find exactly the same annoying problem on Amazon.co.uk since they revamped their website... very unresponsive on all webpages? :problem:

Re: memory leaks:placebo or nocebo fix for an old system

If you have a modest setup with limited ram, slowdowns and freezes can be a problem depending on how many tabs you like to keep open. I've used RAMBack in the past but found it very limited for my system with only 1Mb RAM. I suggest you try BarTab 4, download link: http://www.mediafire.com/?n22qvg90...

Re: Change on Pale Moon 15.2 beta - about "The identity pane

In tests Pale Moon is always behind all browsers, Firefox is always better placed. Not true, :wtf: what tests, specify your source of information? And anyway, what does this have to do with this topic? I seem to remember a similar thread you started some time ago, where you also completely ignored ...

We've been without the personal avatars for some time now due to forum problems, any possibility of bringing them back anytime?

Not familiar with ''Stratiform'' but followed your link and it looks comprehensive with excellent reviews, that may the best way forward with opportunities for experimentation.

Re: How to reduce tab height ?

You can't change the tab width in about:config. That preference was removed in 4.0 Yes, the confusion arose because I use ''Tab Mix Plus'' and that places the tab width preference in about:config and that allows you to change it from there. It also places the tab height preference, but unfortunatel...

Re: How to reduce tab height ?

If you don't use any Tab enhancement add-ons such as ''Tab Utilities'' or ''Tab Mix Plus'' you probably need to create the preference yourself in about:config: browser.tabs.tabMinHeight. Parameters: user set, integer, value. Experiment with different values, circa 30, to judge the effect. Edit: It s...

It's not a big problem, just an initial and fairly subjective viewpoint, some rough comparisons do indicate a slight increase though.

haha. no way. This is much more involved; 15.1.1 will be a performance and stability update only. then when ? Just for me it's very important Until Moonchild implements this try these fully configurable add-ons. Site Favicon In Urlbar : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/site-favicon-in...

Re: "Tabs on Top" option missing?

Same behaviour here, it seems once ''Tabs On Top'' is checked, upon restart of the browser the option is absent and to revert to ''Tabs On Bottom'' you have to change it every time to ''False'' in about:config. Is this a bug?
