Re: Library - changes take forever
not sure what is meant by "destroy my system", nor is that the topic of this thread, but as I stated, it's nice to have options and there's nothing wrong with suggesting viable, readily available and easy to use options. I didn't suggest that everyone uses Cc, but many do and the tool in question is...

Re: Library - changes take forever
It's nice to have options and the programs suggested are quick and easy. Lots of people already have CC installed, so why not use it's built-in functionality?dark_moon wrote:Their is no need for "cleaner tools". Look here: http://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=785

Re: Library - changes take forever
SpeedyFox and CCleaner both work well for compressing PM sqlite files.

Re: Tabs not pinned anymore after automatic closing
If you don't select Session in the FireFox group of CCleaner, I believe that your pinned tabs will be retained (that was the result of my testing).

Sounds like you need to create a new profile , or use Pale Moon Commander to restore Pale Moon's default settings.

Re: Inexplicable delay with PM x86 and Windows 8.1 (x64)
If you have Bamboo Feed Reader installed, try disabling it and try again. There seems to be a conflict between Bamboo, Win8.1 and PM.

Re: Pinned tabs' size
Don't confuse the 2. The word "chrome" refers to the "skin" (what the UI looks like). The browser named Chrome came along after these files were named.Octopuss wrote:What is Chrome stuff doing in Firefox though?

Re: Pinned tabs' size
For those that are less familiar with locating and editing userchrome.css (as well as usercontent.css and user.js), or for those looking for a quick and easy editor specifically for these files I can recommend ChromEdit extension . It works great with Pale Moon, is user profile aware (works with cur...

Start with no tab
Is is possible to start PM without opening a tab? Hear me out, I have a customized version of the new PM start.me, but I have it started in a pinned tab, which is exactly what I want, but currently when PM starts I also get a blank tab. I'd really like to start PM with only my pinned tab, is there a...

... so I can quickly look things up without impacting what I'm doing too much... No sure exactly what you mean by this but I thought I'd let you know that DuckDuckGo has both "lite" and "html" versions, so if you have a very lightweight environment, these may be beneficial to you. DuckDuckGo HTML D...

Re: Weird Lag HTML5
I replicated what OP reported on my old Win7 workstation. Tried on my new\faster laptop and the issue went away. In both cases, using PM x64. I have to think that Moonchild is correct in his assessment that this is a hardware (and likely video hardware) issue.

No, just go into your device's settings and locate the setting for Unknown Sources (mine is in the Security section) and enable it. Then you can download an APK, run it and it will walk you through the installation.mondorosso wrote:side-load needs root access right?

Re: Pale Moon for Android updated to 25.2
I think that the 2 versions of Pale Moon was a 1 time thing when going from 24.x to 25.x. Same happened to me, but has not happened since. I do the update via side-load and it works great.

Re: Start portal discussion thread
I just spent a few minutes updating my personalized start page, I'm quite pleased with it. Frankly, I don't use start pages for shortcuts, I prefer the bookmarks toolbar for that. Rather, I like to use it to display various widgets including sports feeds, golf headlines, space news and embedded web ...

1. Make a copy of your existing Pale Moon desktop shortcut 2. Rename the shortcut to whatever you like 3. In the shortcut properties, Target: field, add the full URL to your web site immediately following "C:\Program Files\Pale Moon\palemoon.exe" 4. You can optionally change other items like the Ico...

Users have the option to use small icons. Virtually everything is configurable, you can be as old-fashioned or contemporary as you care to be with this new start page.
