Worked in my environment (Win 8.1, PM 25.3 x64). Maybe when you tried the site was temporarily unavailable or too busy.

In case you're not familiar, here's the link to the PM migration tool.

You can prevent pop-up notifications at User Control Panel\Board Preferences. If you disable the notice pop-ups you'll get a banner message when a new PM arrives for you.

Windows 8.1, PMx64, by default the ABL icon in the status bar at the bottom on the far left side. You can use the Customize Toolbar menu to drag it to the place you prefer.

Yeh, the OP seems more like something to ask FF support than PM.

Does the same thing happen if you run PM in safe mode? If not, you have an addon that is causing your issue.
