Re: Installation on Linux Mint 19.1

@ BKelley56 Since you want install Windows 7 inside of Virtual Box, I'm assuming you're using a laptop computer. Those on the Mint forums will not recommend installing VB which is found in the Mint repositories. They will all suggest you install VB at the link below. https://www.virtualbox.org/ If y...

Re: Installation on Linux Mint 19.1

@ BKelley56 I've worked with both Cinnamon and Mate. I've found Xfce is more to my liking since I find it easier to work with and customize than Cinnamon and Mate. The is just an opinion of mine because of how I worked with Cinnamon, Mate and Xfce back in late 2012 and early 2013. Since I do not ins...

Re: Installation on Linux Mint 19.1

There are not that many people on Mint And why do you think that is? Because it's not in Mint's offered applications. If it was, more would be using Pale Moon; so using that as a criterion for inclusion of software is a self-fulfilling prophecy to keep everything alternative out. And as for why the...

Re: How long after M$'s EOL of W7 will PM keep supporting it?

I'll keep using Windows 7, but only as a backup operating system since I use the linux Mint distro as my daily operating system of choice while using linux Pale Moon as my linux browser of choice.

Re: Installation on Linux Mint 19.1

@ stevepusser There are not that many people on Mint, as far as I can tell from reading the Mint forums, who are using Pale Moon. In order for the developers of Mint to allow linux Pale Moon in the Mint repository, in my opinion, there would have to be many more Mint users using Pale Moon. There are...

Re: Installation on Linux Mint 19.1

@ BKelley56 For a newbie coming from Windows 7, Linux Mint is a very good linux distro for a newcomer to linux. But, in my opinon, I think the Xfce desktop environment is a lot easier to customize and learn than the Cinnamon desktop environment. There is a user on here named, "TwoTankAmin" and I off...

Since I first found Pale Moon starting in the Summer of 2011, speaking just for myself, linux Pale Moon and windows Pale Moon are "diamonds found off the foot path where most people never set foot".

Re: Pale Moon Problems

I clicked on the link and got the same blank pages as the OP did. So I turned off uBlock Origin 1.16.4.9 and still the same blank page results. But, this could also be a case of user agent sniffing since some websites only want to support the "big name" browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc....

I don't use the Search Toolbar. So I relegated it to my Customize Toolbar where it sits with all the other things I've removed.

I store all of my Pale Moon bookmarks on a few thumb drives. This way, if something goes wrong, I can restore my bookmarks.

Did you save your bookmarks to a thumb drive? If so, then restore your bookmarks from the thumb drive.

Re: Craigslist reply button is not working with PM at all

Well, I tried Craigslist where I live and long story short, the Reply button is now working (again).

At this time, I'm using 64 bit linux Pale Moon 28.4.0 running in 64 bit linux Mint 19.1 (Tessa) Xfce. I'm now using uBlock Origin 1.16.4.9 and CL sees my user agent mode as Firefox Compatibility mode.

Thank you for getting in touch with Gorhill so he could fix the issue. It works in both linux and windows Pale Moon. Much appreciated.

Re: Unable to Play Video on Aljazeera News site

@ greyowl I clicked on a video and it wouldn't open. But I suspected it was due to uBlock Origin which I have enabled for Aljazeera. So I disabled UBO, refreshed the page and the video opened. I then clicked the Start button on the video and the video started playing. The video which played was; "Is...

Re: Status bar don't displays anything

The Status Bar displays the links I'm on and other pertinent info in "all" the versions of Pale Moon I've been using since I started using windows Pale Moon in 2011 and then using linux Pale Moon back in January of 2014. This includes the present version of Pale Moon which is (28.4.0). If you're not...

Re: Back button doesn't work

I created a new profile and it resolved the back button issue. I'd like to not have to recreate my profile from scratch, is there something in my profile that could be causing this? If the new profile solves your Back button problem, then there is something in the old profile that caused the proble...

Re: YouTube Settings/Options in 28.4.0

@ gepus Offhand, I think the only override of a user agent I use in Pale Moon is for YouTube and that is it. I don't generally use user agent overrides. I have to use a different agent override for YouTube simply because the default user agent in Pale Moon for YouTube will only give the "classic" o...

@ mmouse I have no problems accessing The Guardian site using 64 bit linux Pale Moon 28.4.0 running in 64 bit linux Mint 19.1 (Tessa) Xfce. Your profile might have gotten corrupted somehow or you have an extension which is too old or got corrupted. But, if you re-installed 28.3.1 and the problem rem...
