Re: about:mozilla
I do like the idea of an about:palemoon. The Beast stumbled in the dark for it could no longer see the path. It started to fracture by trying to reshape it's self in the form of metal. The soul of the Beast seemed lost forever. Then by the full moon's light a child was born, a child with the soul o...

Re: Proportions of certain web sites.
If Moonchild's fix doesn't work, you can use the Firefox "NoSquint" add-on.

Re: Why do you prefer?
For a long time, I used Firefox since v3 and I used it because it had loads of customizations for the browser plus it had very good extensions and themes. I don't like the look and feel of Google Chrome. The customization of Chrome is lousy in my opinion. You can't put things were you want to. It als...

Re: Adobe flash crashing pale moon
On my Windows 7 computers running the 32-bit, 24.0.1 version of Pale Moon, I think some of the flash player problems have to do with each person's computer. The latest version of Flash is 11.8.800.168 and it's not given me any problems, but some people are having freezing problems with this version ...

Re: Linux Firefox ESR Versions in Linux Mint
An update. Well, it's back to square one for me. The terminal commands in my previous post above which worked fore me installing Firefox 17.0.8 ESR (x86_64 linux) in Linux Mint 14 (64-bit)........don't work now when installing Firefox 24.0 ESR (x86_64 linux) in Linux Mint 14 (64-bit). :( Mozilla mus...

Re: What did you do to Pale Moon 24????
I agree with others. On my Windows 7 hard drive, Pale Moon 24.0.1 is the cat's meow. One question though. Is Pale Moon 24.0.1 based on Firefox 24.0 ESR?
On a sidenote. I'm using Firefox 24.0 ESR as my backup browser on my Windows 7 hard drive and I went this route to keep the Add-on Bar.

When I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit using PM v24, I've not had any freezing problems with videos on YouTube.

Re: Social integration included in PM 24?
I think you're right, most PM users don't want it but some will, for those that don't want it the fact that it's disabled by default means it will have no impact on them, IMHO the others should at least have the option to use it if they want. I'm in agreement with you. I'm one of those who doesn't ...

Re: The new icon
Mostly, it just comes down to people's preference. I've been using Pale Moon starting with v4 so I'm use to the old icon (logo). With that said, I like the new Pale Moon icon (logo) in v24.

Works for me too.
The only add-ons I have use with Pale Moon are NoSquint and IE Tab V2.
Windows 7 Home Premium and on my other desktop, Windows 7 Ultimate. Both Windows 7 versions are 64-bit.

Re: Pale Moon 24 Won't Run Under Wine 1.4 In Linux Mint 14
On a little sidenote.
Maybe I need to register and become a member on the Linux Mint forums and then I could ask if Wine 1.4.1 will ever updated to Wine 1.6 in the Mint repository. Wine 1.6 is the stable version.

Re: Pale Moon 24 Won't Run Under Wine 1.4 In Linux Mint 14
EDIT/BTW - I seem to remember later finding a good/better guide to installing Wine 1.6 on (surprise!) Wine HQ's site somewhere - can't find link. Installing the PPA should be easy. I'm also going to try and find the link on the Wine website. Right now, accepting the EULA seems to be the majo...

Blacklab,
You installed a PPA and I'm not familar with PPAs. I'll have to look it over and see if I can understand the technical jargon in the link. At least the link has pictures.
BTW, thanks very much for the link. I really, really appreciate it.
Ditto for the second link too.

Re: Pale Moon 24 Won't Run Under Wine 1.4 In Linux Mint 14
I'm on my other desktop where I can't run Pale Moon v24 under Wine. I don't use partitions. I have two hard drives in each desktop. One hard drive is loaded with Windows 7 and the second hard drive is loaded with Linux Mint 14. It the Mint repository, the latest version of Wine is v1.4.1 and there i...

Re: Pale Moon 24 Won't Run Under Wine 1.4 In Linux Mint 14
On both computers, Wine 1.4.1 is the one I have installed and it looks like Pale Moon v24 won't work in this version of Wine. I uninstalled Wine 1.4.1 using the Synaptic Package Manager and then installed Wine again along with all the other packages for it and Wine 1.4.1 was installed again. Wine in...

Yes, I updated Mint before I downloaded and installed Pale Moon via the Pale Moon installer and Wine. I didn't use the Pale Moon internal updater. I also uninstalled Pale Moon v18 to get (v20.3) and everything went fine the last time I did this. Something just went radically wrong this time My secon...

Pale Moon 24 Won't Run Under Wine 1.4 In Linux Mint 14
Today is not my day. At least with my password problem now working again with 32-bit Pale Moon 24 and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, I've eliminated one problem. Problem #2. Although Windows only Pale Moon 20.3 in 32-bit works perfectly in 64-bit Linux Mint 14 under the Wine 1.4 compatibility layer,...

Re: Password Not Working On Every Update Of Pale Moon
I use LastPass so it is not a problem I have noticed, but just as a thought - you have the "remember my password" enabled in the Options>Security section? No, I don't have that enabled in the Options>Security section. I don't like having passwords saved all the time on my computers in whatever brow...
