Because GStreamer support is not enabled by default. I have been working on this, but can't give a definitive answer as to when it will be done.

Why did Mozilla refuse to integrate it? I'd like to know the rationale there. You tell me. Also, older versions will no longer report that 25.5.0 is the latest release. They will now simply error out.

HI Mark, You likely are using an older version of the installer. Version 25.5.0 was the last version available on SourceForge before we moved to our own server, and any version of the installer under 0.2.x still points to SF and will not recognize any newer versions. You can grab the latest version ...

Try installing the gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg (or debian equivalent) package.

Try using v2.4.9 of the extension.

Seems to work for me on Linux. Could you please provide more information (Pale Moon version, OS, etc)?
