Re: Support browser
It depends what you want to do with the browser. If you want to watch Videos with it, i would rather use Vivaldi - as it is more compatible with Youtube and HTML5 - Midori and Qupzilla offer no real HTML5 video playback on Windows, only over Flash. HTML5 will replace the old flash video player on Yo...

Fast and lightweight... Well that is a bit hard ;) But i can offer you a recommendation for something useful.. which works good enough as a secondary browser ;) http://www.seamonkey-project.org or if you do not care for Open Source and Gecko engine when using a secondary browser http://www.vivaldi.c...

Re: Mozilla total out of control?
Somehow i have the feeling that "Failzilla" will use this to make in one way or another money out of it.Or they hope for more influence again now where they are losing more and more punch and also their previous value! Desperation leads to many stupid decisions. "Failzilla" shows that more than clea...

Mozilla total out of control?
http://www.ghacks.net/2015/05/01/mozilla-deprecating-non-secure-http So Mozilla declares war against HTTP and will cripple the offerings of the browser towards this "unsafe" protocol? They really expect every single webmaster, no matter how simple the page is which is maintained to switch towards H...

Re: How far is Palemoon departed from Firefox?
Because Moonchild is not planning to rebuild Pale Moon with a recent "Failfox" codebase, this "Failzilla" decisions have zero impact on Pale Moon, that can be said for sure! In fact, splitting off/going full fork with Version 24 has saved Pale Moon's userbase a large amount of trouble because of rec...

You should if you have not already done it, deactivate Hardware acceleration both in Flash and in the Browser options!

Hey
2 things:
1) Adblock Plus offers no Pale Moon Support
2) Pale Moon has a special Adblocker: adblock-latitude

Re: Why do some addons work and some need a special version?
Calm down, it was not my intention to insult you, you have misunderstood me ;) I just collected and posted more or less already existing opinions about Pale Moon - Australis and Australis contra old style Firefox add-ons. And offered only some suggestions. Point is, Australis is a complex thing - Ad...

Re: Why do some addons work and some need a special version?
Sorry you're right. Going back to the topic......the uBlock developer hasn't responded to my tweet :(. Can you please edit the add-on to make the icon appear? I would say the Pale Moon add-on team has already too much to do already, to expect that they go out of their way and try to find out how th...

Re: Why do some addons work and some need a special version?
What defines if an addon will work with Pale Moon or not? / Quite simple... If an add-on is Australis only it needs to be rewritten that it works, if an add-on stays compatible with the V24 or similar branch, it can be used or some minor fixes have to be done to make it compatible. Sadly most Add-o...

Re: YTHD Extension Update causes appcrash
It is Mozilla's fault, thanks to their signed add-ons policy new, Gecko based browsers below 29 experience crashes when the user tries to install a signed add-on. Moonchild is working already on a fix for this problem, so until further notice, do not install new add-on versions from AMO ;) And the o...

Even if you turn off features, bloat stays bloat - only because they are not in the foreground anymore does NOT mean they have no impact on the stability.

Re: How to make Firefox more like Pale Moon
if you really plan to switch, you should give Seamonkey a fair chance. Has a nice add-on converter which makes many Australis add-ons compatible with Seamonkey. And quite a lot Firefox add-ons are for Seamonkey available too. No need to use Mozilla's Chrome clone wannabe :) http://seamonkey-project....

Re: Why is PM Preferable Over FF - Technically Speaking
Just look at it from the moral point of view.. Which browser do you prefer? A browser from developers which have abandoned their target user group (Geeks) for hunting the Chrome users and for this simplicity and minimalism and mobile focus instead of options, customization and features? Or a browser...
