Re: YouTube and PM26
Depends if MSE is implemented, but so far if you can read here http://www.palemoon.org/roadmap.shtml it is not on the road map. And to the flash topic, it is for sure only a matter of time until Google pulls the plug for it for real, if you want 1080P HTML5 video, the only reliable way is to get a s...

Re: YouTube and PM26
Why a user agent override for Youtube anyway? Works flawless with just the regular Pale Moon user agent (only compat mode for Gecko enabled): Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Goanna/20160121 PaleMoon/26.0.0 Btw. if you are adventurous you can enter a global user agent ...

Re: Page displaying incorrectly.
Just give the support of the page the specific error and ask nicely if they tell you what exactly is missing to make that page work with Pale Moon and let Moonchild know the answer afterwards

Re: Page displaying incorrectly.
That is becoming more and more a problem in these days Webkit dominated web. Those browsers implement their own "standards" and as they have a damn big market share, more and more pages are just targeted for those browsers only. All other one's have to make more and more compromise and are forced to...

I would not call Chrome clones a bad thing.
If you enhance it the right way, the result will be way better as compared to the original. Let's see how it turns out for Mr. Eich

Somehow this sounds like a messed up Pale Moon profile. I would try it with a new one.

Re: What Browser did you use Before PM?
First, for some time IE, afterwards Phoenix/Firefox until Firefox Aurora 22, then i stayed almost one year with Aurora 22 and made the switch to Pale Moon. Today a combination of Pale Moon with Otter Browser and Vivaldi and sadly with more and more focus of those Webkit/blink browsers.

Re: Videos on Facebook
Can't reproduce that with the 2 links on that forum many posts earlier. And i am even not using the recommended user agent, i just use the origin Pale Moon 26 user agent, both videos do work, even after several reloads.

Mozilla puts the general add-on concept in question now?
http://www.ghacks.net/2016/01/06/surprise-40-of-firefox-users-dont-use-add-ons
That blogpost speaks for itself. Just a simple try to find out how many users are using add-ons or is it simply another example of Mozilla's double-speech?

Re: Is it feasible to write a browser from scratch?
From scratch not. But if you take something like QT software, you are indeed able to write at least parts of a browser from scratch. Examples are Otter, Qupzilla or Qutebrowser. The downside of that is that you are heavily depending on the good-will of QT engine wise and on the amount of bugs that i...

Re: Missing security feature?
I would be anyway careful with that kind of drafts. The best and most important security measure is still the user who is sitting in front of the computer. No matter what is implemented, sooner or later it is again broken, that is a neverending circle of ridiculousness. Use Noscript or later when Pa...

Seems Firefox starts to go the same way of tears like Opera?
http://www.ghacks.net/2016/01/02/mozilla-firefox-webkit-compatibility/ So, Mozilla is also slowly running into website problems in the Webkit prefixes dominated web of today. Opera had a similar problem and the result was to go full Chrome clone. Will be interesting to see the long term solution of...

Re: Downfall of Mozilla continous...
Thank you Matt, as a newish member who enjoys learning from this forum I find this gentleman's repetitive rants tiresome, particularly this thread, as I believe the same chap frequents Vivaldi forums and praises a browser with a built in Task Manager, guess it's not 'bloat' there. It's a difference...

Re: Downfall of Mozilla continous...
Hmm... Somehow i have the feeling that "Failfox" without Gecko or a "Failfox" with a more feature less Gecko engine would lose even more of it's once existing customization features - massive add-on dumb-down afterwards upcoming? :D Anyway, no changes where everyone will jump into the air and pray t...

http://techdows.com/2015/05/mozilla-integrates-pocket-into-firefox-nightly.html Another piece of bloat garbage delivered soon with Firefox as it seems.... Now where Simplicity and minimalism has failed to bring Firefox a massive user flood, they try it with making out of Firefox a "Rockmelt Part 2" ...

Re: Mozilla total out of control?
It all depends WHAT for a kind of website is running. For some simple plain HTML picture page which one is self hosting on his own machine - HTTPS is overkill. Why should a person like that being forced to use something which costs money when they offer the most simple thing available? This is only ...
