Re: Question and observation about UA with EBay/PayPal
I also live in Germany and have German IPv4 (Unitymedia), but I use Linux, there were no problems. Using a Win 10 UA for eBay won't cause any problems, because it is site-specific in Pale Moon and eBay doesn't need special Win7/10 sites. This would be a problem for e.g. microsoft.com, because they'd...

Re: Google's reCAPTCHA vs Pale Moon
they should switch back to old text based captcha It's insufficient. Text-based captchas are harder for humans to solve and (much!) easier for bots to guess right , especially with our currently available average computing power, so they simply will not do. For me, these are resolvable more easily ...

Re: Google's reCAPTCHA vs Pale Moon
I'm not a fan of reCAPCHA, myself. whats a good alternative for web developers to use? hCaptcha seems to be filling the role of "reCaptcha alternatve" nicely. I also hate hCaptcha, they should switch back to old text based captcha and send that "click all shitty cars" captchas to the moon.

Re: Google's reCAPTCHA vs Pale Moon
F*** Google Recaptcha, but we have to live with that.
First, make sure you try a default PM profile.
I also experienced that you have to solve about 5 to 6 sheets of that captcha pictures, it is annoying, but it can't be avoided, but maybe write the webmaster and tell them.

Re: Loading a URL that isn't a URL
It is a bad idea to use such names for domains, use router.local instead.
.local isn't used for global services as I know so you can use it.

Re: teams.microsoft.com
It works in Firefox and as I know it needs WebRTC which is not supported by Pale Moon.
You can use the Teams desktop app on Linux, I also use it, but it only works on x64 Linux (most people have it already).

Das Problem ist halt, dass die Leute dann sagen, dass Pale Moon Schrott ist, weil sowas nicht funktioniert.

Does it only happen with DucukDuckGo?
What is the complete error message?
Do you have a Firewall with a transparent proxy?
Does your ISP operates such a proxy (e.g. Kazastan)?

Have you installed an Antivurs software?
Some of them break encrypted connections. Uninstall that AV software and only use Windows Defender.

Re: bookmarks and memory
I have a PIII running Debian 7.3 and PaleMoon 27.8. I've only got 1/2Mb memory and noticed that PaleMoon stores extranious data in the bookmarks, hence in memory that benefit me little. Is there a way to tell PaleMoon not to store ADD_DATE, LAST_MODIFIED, LAST_CHARSET, ICON_URI and especially ICON ...

Re: Google purposely locks up browser on YT if agent not new enough
I certainly would not use chrome and anyone advising it must be mad. I am curious though....what exactly is the issue with the old layout that has prompted such drastic action from google to implement all these new things.is it really necessary.? Google says that it is and they'll do it, regardless...

Re: Google purposely locks up browser on YT if agent not new enough
It is the concept, not the CPU. I just name it so nobody can say it just doesn't work on old-ass hardware like Pentium 4 or Athlon 64.

Re: Google purposely locks up browser on YT if agent not new enough
If you like the old Material theme back, you can still use Internet Explorer 11 on Windows.
But they will stop supporting it soon, as they say, that the entire browser isn't supported anymore and people should download Chrome.

Re: Google purposely locks up browser on YT if agent not new enough
It is the new Polymer design. I see a lot of people complaining about the "new" Youtube and many topics about this. If this will be the final development of the youtube interface then there should be no worries, if for some people works it should work for everyone. (Or maybe I never had problems du...

Re: Disable Spell check
No, that was my own translation, "Allgemein" translated to English means "common", but can also be translate with general.
Also, in the German translation, the menu bar entry "Tools" is named "Extras". "Tools" is translated into "Werkzeuge" in most software products.

Re: Disable Spell check
Yes, in German it is translated as "Einstellungen" because "Präferenz" sounds a bit strange here for a settings panel.

Re: Disable Spell check
Go to Extras in the menu bar. In Windows you click the Pale Moon blue button in the top left and then go to preferences. Also in the menu bar it seems to be named preferences. It's been named "Preferences" for a very long time. I now know, I've never seen another word for that, not even in Firefox,...
