Re: Checks for "list.txt" on websites - why?

So I asked on a forum I'm a member of about these list.txt requests and despite doing some research as well, nothing came up. It was of the opinion that it could be just a bot looking for anything that might have something of value. A lot of these bots are just dumb or just probing for vulnerabiliti...

Re: Ccleaner compromised - check what version you're using!

All I'm saying is that the damn thing is spyware, and it has been spyware for years! The last time I installed CCleaner, both the normal desktop installer and the slim version tried to connect to the internet. The program executables tried to connect to the internet regardless of the update check s...

Re: Ccleaner compromised - check what version you're using!

I've been using version 4.xx for a long time. I just don't see a need to update, really. It will all do the same thing: basic cleaning of your Temp files and crap. But I also use System Ninja and it will nab Temp files you never thought possible! Go ahead and check it out. You may be very surprised.

Re: Checks for "list.txt" on websites - why?

What was the user agent for these requests? Various, so likely spoofed from a table of known ones. No referrers were sent, either. 193.188.254.67 - "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)" 61.7.186.96 - "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)" 182.160.124.29 - "Mozilla/4.0 (...

These are all most likely infected routers. I see this all the time on my websites.

You might be interested in CIDRAM and Ninjafirewall. I use both and know the CIDRAM author. https://cidram.github.io/ Using these two websites I don't see anything reported. https://www.abuseipdb.com/ http://www.blocklist.de/en/search.html?ip=181.189.235.11&action=search&send=start+search What was t...

Re: How do I learn how to mod Pale Moon myslef?

I know about the optimization of the omni.ja file and from what I can tell I haven't seen any slow down and the file looks to be optimized.

What is IDL and I guess you need to know C++?

EDIT-

Found my answer. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IDL_%28pr ... anguage%29

How do I learn how to mod Pale Moon myslef?

So I have been messing around with the omni.ja and it's shed some light on how things function which I find interesting. Yes, I know I should use an add-on rather than messing around with omni.ja, but so far I haven't messed anything up and I keep a back up of that file just in case. So it looks lik...

Re: How to contain meta data, and polymorphic malware

Couple other files that Sandboxie should have access to. The dictionary so that your added words to the dictionary stick. That file is persdict.dat The other file, and this is the most critical is the prefs.js file. That file stores most of your extension data. That way if you make a change in an ex...

I wish I was privileged enough to have a wife. I'm going on 37 next month and I ain't getting any younger. Although I've had a medical set back in my life that's preventing me from seeking a nice mate. Plus, I'm picky as hell.

What do these video settings do?

My mom has been having sporadic video behavior in Facebook and I was wondering if these settings had any bearing or not. Currently they are all enabled like shown here in the image. But on my computer and her computer the last option is greyed out. Why is that?

Re: The new Youtube design

look on the 'play store', there are good larger 'soft keyboards' there (I use 'TouchPal' that has very good word detection and voice input detection!) It is *still* a problem doing anything serious on a tablet though... and a decent netbook with windows works much better!! But you're still not gami...
