I guess you need to toggle general.warnOnAboutConfig back to true.

Re: VoodooShield, anybody using it ?
I've been trying it out recently, not done any hard testing of it though, seems to be pretty usable in auto mode.
I just checked and I installed it nine days ago, which means only that it's not too annoying, as most security software 'tests' here last less than a day.

I have a feeling that might have something to do with the way Tavis hinted at it on Fri/Saturday on his Twitter account?Moonchild wrote:So why are more than half of the comments deleted, anyway?

Re: Windows exploits and Google Report-
It does affect W7 and, I think, any Windows version with Microsoft Security Essentials installed: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/lib ... ty/4022344
Activate Defender and update it internally, disable it if desired, once it's done.

Re: 27.3.0 Seemingly semi-random crashes.
Hi, Ozzed.
Much depends on the size (though I can't recall the forum limit!), zipped is obviously best so a publicly accessible upload site with a password for the zip (7-zip can set passwords, I think), with the password and URL PM'ed to Moonchild would be safest?

Pale Moon as default browser on W10?
I've seen a query elsewhere about setting Pale Moon as the default browser on W10 and which of the IE/Edge file associations should be associated with Pale Moon, etc. I don't use W10 except for brief tests and I've not yet tested the latest CU update, so I'll paste the OP comments and link here, hop...

Re: Remote security exploit in all 2008+ Intel platforms
On uninstall via DevMan, you should get a popup asking if you also want to delete the drivers, do so and it won't install again (in this instance, it shouldn't even leave an ! over the unknown device, it won't exist).

Re: Remote security exploit in all 2008+ Intel platforms
Uninstall it from Device manager, cleaner, no reboot needed (if you're referring to the ME).

Re: Remote security exploit in all 2008+ Intel platforms
You should therefore be quite safe but check for and uninstall the AMT software and uninstall any Intel Management drivers from Device Manager - System devices should you wish to keep squeaky clean. Re: PM is slowing and temporary freezing after a few hours from start
Try/test it without Bitdefender; re-enable Windows Defender and ensure you run the BD uninstall routine, reboot, check WD has updated definitions and that the Windows firewall is active. Load some of your usual sites and walk away for a few hours or do that before leaving it overnight. It's standar...

Re: PM is slowing and temporary freezing after a few hours from start
I'd suspect W10's power settings (probably varies acc. to the sub version of 10) or your security software/settings. There might be some generic/System issue on wake.
You need to fill in some gaps for those who use the same W10 version so they can test.

Re: TenFourFox cooperation... A way to solve our Mac development issues?
So... Who do you think is going to fix these bugs? They are not going to fix themselves, after all. You need someone with OS X development skills. TenFourFox is a hobby project of the dev which he created to show the world what is still possible with PowerPC Macs. He also stated that he has Intel M...

Re: Thread hogging CPU when Pale Moon keeps running for several days
You get this on two computers? Then it's likely to be a specific site, Add-on or 3rd party software, maybe security, that's common to both installs interfering. (I'm currently on ~14.5 day uptime with PM 27.2.1 x64 on W7, ~120 tabs open, many hundreds more used and closed from a similar number of si...
