Re: about:robots
It's been around in Firefox (and presumably all other FX-based builds) since at least April 2008: http://www.firefoxfacts.com/2008/04/08/aboutrobots/

Re: Question regarding Jemalloc
In about:buildconfig under Configure arguments = enable-jemalloc. So yes, it's already supported :) This has been implemented in the last couple of versions at least; I'm pretty sure there was something written about it, perhaps in the release notes at some point; it's not coming up in a search of t...

Re: Adobe Flash Player v11 series bugs/issues
@cymroly: The v11.2.300.130 download isn't available through the link you provided. If you want to provide a direct link or a reliable mirror (mediafire perhaps), then please feel free to do so. Good to hear that you now have it working at last. The version I linked to was pulled sometime between o...

Re: External links will not open
Try using the Applications tab in the main Options page in Pale Moon. Or check what Windows defaults to using to open the link/file types. It may be that you have to change a Windows default before you see it in Pale Moon.

Re: Status bar add-on changes.
Security, consistency and lack of distractions all rank highly for me, the current FX 'status bar' does little for any of those.

Re: Freezes with FoxNews
The site works fine for me, I checked soon after you made the thread, I spent half an hour on there, videos and all.
Which version of Pale Moon and Flash do you have? Were they both installed clean or updated? Where was Pale Moon downloaded from?

Re: Help!Help!
Ok, so you fixed it, good :) Some files with the name AUcon.dll were historically Trojans - infected. The file upload looks clean: https://www.virustotal.com/file/9825906955ab56a27f04fd4bd7d78a76f982c8477af016b4c4df0cfbfaae0ed9/analysis/1333811840/. Re: Beatport issue
Pale Moon appears to work fine on that site, tested with PM 11x64 on W7 and PM 11 on XP SP3. I can't think of anything PM-related that might interfere with it.

Re: Java Help Please!
Let's begin again, shall we? Older, insecure versions of Java are now blocked in many browsers. Even previously 'secure' operating systems, such as Mac OSX, have rushed out patched versions of Java in the last few days - there is a very serious risk using older versions - not theoretical - real, liv...

Re: Bookmarks won't open in a new tab
Opening links in new tabs is no problem in Pale Moon 11 Ed, just right-click and it's top of the list or simply click the link with the middle button, if you have one.

Ah, it's only going through tools > ... > plugincheck that I see the Java thing - accessing https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ directly says nothing about Java.

Re: Java Help Please!
The reason that Java is blocked for you is that it's an old, insecure version that is now being targetted for attacks. http://news.techworld.com/security/3349099/mozilla-blocks-vulnerable-java-plug-in-on-firefox/?olo=rss Further info from Mozilla about it here . Doesn't the latest version of Java wo...

That's my feeling, yes. From a security standpoint, I'd say that's "A very bad thing".Moonchild wrote:Ah so it's lazy - "no java detected = show the message, because *everyone* has Java, right?"

Re: Blocklisting Older Versions of Java
As for your error, I'm not sure that that is all about -- probably AMO being a derp again. I don't think it's an error message , it feels more like their standard blurb if no Java's detected or the plugin's disabled. I checked using my XP laptop with same result and that's never had any Java (or .N...

Re: Blocklisting Older Versions of Java
Does the update-checker check for the existence of the Java plugin? I just did an update check from 2 machines and they're both up to date - but I don't have Java now anyway. Maybe the push isn't active yet? And the Mozilla plugincheck page still says: "Missing JAVA? For your safety, Firefox has dis...

Re: Blocklisting Older Versions of Java
I'm pleased you're pushing it :) ... since the particular exploit seems to be popping up in the wild now. It may have been that same exploit that I was testing PM and IE against with Java disabled - Pale Moon won (forewarned by Google's Safe Browsing anyway), Windows, esp. IE9+SmartScreenFilter lost...

Blocklisting Older Versions of Java
This sounds like a very good idea from Mozilla , any reasons why this shouldn't be implemented, or at least offered during install/upgrade, in future Pale Moon builds? After all, it only affects the browser, other programs (thinking mainly business software here) can still use it. It won't affect me...

Re: Help!Help!
This looks like an old setting is stuck somewhere. This might have been caused by installing a non-standard version of Pale Moon from somewhere. We can check some of the settings if you go to "about:support" (paste about:support into the URL bar, press Enter). Click 'Copy all to clipboard" button. P...

Re: JARs not extracting
Seems that I had parts of an earlier version of 7-zip installed, a cleanout and reinstall of the latest version has cleared things up, also fixed the "7-zip asks permission to overwrite files when using Extract from the right-click menu" too.
