I get a blank page with Pale Moon, SeaMonkey, and Opera. Safari does render correctly.

Re: github javascript not working

I just tried a github page, but the error console was reporting problems with a stylesheet, not a javascript.

The video played, but I had no sound with it. Is that normal for that one?

Re: Cant access sites

I did not have any problem accessing the site, and I did not block javascript for it first. Do you get that overlay only if you try to order something? Or maybe it is something I have already blocked with uBlock Origin (no idea which). I get no overlay when local storage is turned off ( dom.storage...

I have more subscriptions than you do, plus I have a personal blocklist added to "My Filters".

Re: Problems with giphy and gif's on some sites

Each coloured box will show an image if you click it. The page has repurposed the up & down arrows, so scrolling that way will not work.

Re: videos on some (big) websites not working

You got it! I have a block on ajax.googleapis.com in my filter list. When I disabled that, Dailymotion worked.

Coffeebreak, the extra "#" did the trick. It is now an acceptable filter. Thanks a bunch.

Re: Copy links

Why did you use 2 asterisks after htt? An asterisk can stand for any number of characters, including 0.

Re: videos on some (big) websites not working

It is uBlock Origin causing the problem with Dailymotion. When I disabled it for that site, the videos played. Most likely it is a fairly popular subscription, since other people have the same problem. Is there any way to test which subscription causes the problem? For instance, if I want to disable...

Yes. I am now using uBlock Origin 1.15.24. Why would it find a filter unusable?

Re: BrowserLeaks.com - Firefox Resources Reader Test

How does a site tell the difference between a browser with a language built into it versus using a language pack? Obviously the Accept Language field does not inform it.

Re: videos on some (big) websites not working

I cannot get any videos from Dailymotion (with any browser), but Ora TV works as long as I refrain from using full screen. If I use full screen, I get a big "X" in the middle of the screen. The strange thing about Dailymotion is that Clipgrab works to download videos from it, but I cannot see any v...

uBlock Origin filter greyed out

I added a filter to "My Filters" in uBlock Origin:
#div(id^=dropin)
Just recently, it was greyed out. Why? What is wrong with it?

Why do you need a Go button? After you type or paste an address into the bar, why not move a finger over and press Return?

Re: DarkenBackground for PM

I use an extension called Kill Bright Backgrounds. It darkens backgrounds brighter than a threshold value which you set, by an amount which you also set. I had to modify the code in install.rdf to get it to install in Pale Moon, since it was written for Firefox. It also will only install from the UR...
