Re: Pale Moon 27.7.0
Working good on an older macbook pro with high sierra 10.13.2 3 quirks I've seen: - Lavafox V2-blue ver 2.5 (which I use on PaleMoon for windows) works but the title bar for the palemoon app becomes non-grippable. The min/max buttons on the title bar work fine, though. (Dark Moon 1.7.0 works fine s...

Re: New window has all tabs from existing one
Hm, New Window opens an empty one for me, as expected, so it must be TMP. Does Ctrl+N work as expected, or does it also clone all of your tabs?

Re: Main adventages of Pale Moon
As well as what others have said (privacy, helpful devs and community, complete themes (it is possible to tweak in any way or completely replace the icons and styling of the whole browser UI, which is super cool)), a major thing that Pale Moon has going for it is support for XUL extensions. There's ...

Re: Field data labels in identity popup
With Element Inspector , you should be able to open the identity popup, shift+right-click on an element, and see its properties. As you say, when the window loses focus, the popup disappears, but you can still see the elements in the DOM Inspector window, and with a screenshot reference or something...

Re: How to change the style button without shadows
Huh. Well, I'm afraid I don't know why that is; maybe the button colors are hard-coded for some reason. Could someone with more theming experience weigh in?

Re: Tabs and home page don't load
Although I'm not sure if this was a one-time issue or a recurring problem, your session is stored in the file sessionstore.js in your profile, with an additional backup in sessionstore.bak. You can rename sessionstore.bak to sessionstore.js to make Pale Moon recognize it as the session that it shoul...

Re: Google Maps and Pale Moon
In about:addons (put that in your address bar and press enter), you can disable or remove any extensions that you may have (none are installed by default). Through the Help menu, you can also restart in Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all add-ons. I would note that I consider some of my add-on...

This is quite late, but try going to Preferences, selecting the Applications tab, and choosing your desired application for handling PDFs.

Re: Field data labels in identity popup
I can confirm that DOM Inspector is super helpful. I use it in combination with Element Inspector. In the right panel, you can use the dropdown to see CSS rules of the selected element (and where they come from, and if they're !important), and you can even Ctrl+F to search for elements by ID, tag ty...

Re: Bitdefender (free) has obliterated "palemoon.exe"
Can you not simply copy your whole profile folder?
>Can I copy "palemoon.exe" from another machine and slot it into the existing PM installed location
In theory, that should work fine. I'd try to make a copy of your profile first, though, just in case.

Re: 27.7.1 still thick tab borders
If you're using a custom theme, it will probably still have the old border width values, and since borders are now rounded properly (not always rounded down), they may be thicker than they were before the border width rendering change. The default theme was changed (borders made thinner) to make it ...

Re: Removal of 'ask every time' cookie policy
I'm sorry to hear that you're so upset about this, AnotherSignup. But, did you really use the setting? I tried it, and it makes it very difficult to do much, because almost every page load of a modern website sends many popups clamoring to set or modify cookies.

Re: Using aliases from URL bar
In about:config, setting keyword.enabled to false should stop searching from the address bar.
If you can't get your extension to work, you could try Custom Keywords (not an extension, just a feature).

Try Awesome Screenshot Plus 2.4.11. I haven't used the add-on, but this appears to be the last version to be compatible with Pale Moon.

Re: cookie management in new update
Yeah, I wasn't sure I was happy to see the option go, but I understand the reasoning; with ask me every time set, on almost every page load for a modern website, there's a flurry of popups asking to set or modify cookies, and it makes browsing a bit difficult.

Re: How can I change the background tab colors to be the same color as Quantum?
Adding an !important to the #TabsToolbar rule, making it #TabsToolbar { background-color: #1e2541 !important; } , did it for the background behind the tabs, but for some reason I can't seem to be able to change the color of the tabs themselves on Windows. Is this at least somewhat close to what you'...
