Re: Windows Update Problem
... I'd remove either Avast of Malwarebytes, it's not a good idea to have two such products installed.... Avast! is an antivirus software while Malwarebytes Antimalware is an AntiMalware software, so big difference. That's why both can live together very nicely... even when the paid version of MBAM...

Re: Windows Update Problem
Better to wait - if it doesn't happen again, it's fixed! Also, this might be relevant.helloimustbegoing wrote:Next time it breaks, I'll see about giving it a try. Or do you think it would be better to do it now before it breaks again?

Re: Windows Update Problem
Don't know what's going on and you might have to "refresh" or reinstall Windows. I'd remove either Avast of Malwarebytes, it's not a good idea to have two such products installed. Also, do try Window Repair's (my 3rd link) Windows Update Repair (no.17) and you might also want to add a few more (no's...

Re: Windows Update Problem
Try these:
1) Fixit troubleshooter
2) Repair Corrupted Windows System Files with the SFC and DISM Commands
3) The relevant repairs in the excellent Windows Repair (only select the repairs you need)

Re: More toolbar icons for basic browser functions/options
Thanks for the tips. Toolbar Buttons (and the fancy site) are impressive, but add a gazillion buttons while only a few will be useful to each user, if the wanted button(s) is available at all. Reminded me of the once popular codec-packs. As suggested, targeted button creation would be ideal but I wo...

(solved) Can you see this image?
There's an image at the top of this article (a big FB like) that I just cannot display on Pale Moon. Tried Safe Mode and PM portable. Does it work for you? Thanks.

Re: Greasemonkey fork users of Greasemonkey should test it
Excellent news, works fine here although my scripts worked with 1.15, too. Perhaps requires testing with tougher scripts - many thanks to janekptacijarabaci.

More toolbar icons for basic browser functions/options
More of a general suggestion than a feature request, so I'll try to make it a bit more specific. Plugins Toggler is what the title says, a smart, standard icon for quick plugin selection. This simple method is way quicker and more flexible than entering the Add-ons Manager. More suggestions for simi...

Re: Adblock Edge discontinued in favour of uBlock
Weird that it didn't show up for you. Sometimes, for certain script-heavy sites it is conditional that you need to enable address X for address Y to even be connected to and therefore show up in the list. Anyway, in that regard RequestPolicy would function the same, with the one difference (I assum...

POP vs IMAP E-mail
I'd love to have some opinions/experiences on this. It seems there is no "winner" (depends on type of usage, probably) but are there some points the make the one clearly preferable to the other? Security, speed, privacy, possible hard disk/cloud failure etc. Thanks.

Just got the error below while browsing here, or when closing other tabs and landing on that page. (x64 portable)
Closing other tabs seems to trigger it.

Re: Pale Moon 26 (Goanna) beta2 feedback thread
If I go into Yahoo.com, it puts up a screen saying the browser is not supported. It works that way whether "Firefox Compatibility" is set on or off. I went to about:config and set a useragent override, and that made yahoo work. Tried a few other Yahoos (including UK) and they all work. Indeed yahoo...

Re: Firefox's seppuku continues...
Since it wont work in PM I plan to move my account. P< works just fine on the Chase bank and Citibank sites as well as the Vanguard brokerage site. I am likely going to move my account out of Morgan since the other alternative is to use IE 11 or recent versions Chrome, Apple or Firefox. I would rat...

Re: Adblock Edge discontinued in favour of uBlock
It's unfortunate that AdBlock Plus is no longer usable. UBlock is a crummy second and performance of the browser with it dropped to such a poor level with it that I've relegated it to the last browser I open. I probably won't install Pale Moon again. Very sad, Pale Moon was just about perfect, not ...

Re: Full Screen mode?
Why would you need full-screen mode in a mail application? Isn't maximizing the window enough? Not a critical issue of course but couldn't that question be applied to most applications, including Pale Moon? Maximizing is just fine, full screen gives that bit of extra space and focus (removing all o...
