Re: Build PaleMoon with JIT disabled

Do not use GCC 6. It is unsupported. Use GCC 4.9 if you target older systems or otherwise just any other higher version but 6. If you still face errors while using supported configuration, errors can be looked into. Read more here: https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=22899&p=176463#p17646...

I think on Linux all boxes should be checked. That is what I have by default.

jb56claw,
Can you play videos on other websites? Did you modify the user agent override for Youtube?

Re: HTML5 Video Support on Windows 10

I downloaded and tested a PM 27.9.3 binary from here and found that it does not work on Windows 10 for HTML5 video. So my question was, did it it ever work, and if so, was it a change in Windows (update) that changed that? I remember there used to be a fix to enable video playback on Windows 10 aft...

Compiler (gcc) is required only for building the package, not running it. So you do not need to install anything.

doofy,

He is saying it is an integral part of the browser and it *may* perform better if you have it enabled. Of course, browsers can run without cache.

I clear my cache constantly. But those files and folders never were deleted.
Because those are not part of the cache but your browser profile.
