Re: Avast Browser Cleanup
Ghacks had an article today about this issue of Avast deleting add-ons from Firefox. Two things I am curious about: 1) Is it also deleting add-ons for Pale Moon users? 2) Is this problem also happening with older versions of Avast? I am using Avast 9 (the last previous version), and for add-ons/ext...

It may; but for me, it's not worth the hassle.CraigPD wrote:

Re: Avast Browser Cleanup
Avast user here; I've stayed on Avast 9 because I didn't like the noticeable changes made in v10, and that was even before I found out about this https scanner. One of those changes was the "dumbing down" of the pop-up you get when you hover over the tray icon. In version 9, it would tell you what v...

Thanks again for the info M.C. Now, I hope I'm not beating a dead horse with this: Moonchild wrote: If your normal use keeps enough free space, you don't have to force the issue with over-provisioning The second partition is 178 gigs, and my data files measure around 41 gigs, which would leave over ...

Re: Is it a good idea to make 2 or more partitions on a SSD?
Thanks for the reply, Tobin. I guess now my only question would be, should I do this over-provisioning thing or not? If it really does prolong the life of the SSD I would like to do it, but I don't understand how many gigs should be left unpartitioned.

Re: Please Recommend a Simple Cookie Manager
Someone has opened a bug report on Cookie Keeper's bug page here about it not working on Pale Moon, so maybe the developer will fix it.
In the meantime, have you tried an old version of Cookie Keeper? (Old versions page link.)

I found out one disadvantage. You can't make a portable version the default browser. That's enough for me to go back to the install version.

Yes I know there are differences. I simply made the post for any who may read this thread who may still not know that the Atom build will run on XP.

Is it a good idea to make 2 or more partitions on a SSD?
I just recently got a new computer with a 256 gig SSD. I would like to make two partitions on it, the C drive for the OS and program files, and the other partition for data files (I have done it this way on standard hard drives for a while and I like it). I did an internet search, but I'm too dumb t...
