Re: Updating Pale Moon in Linux

I copied and pasted the command in the terminal( rm -f Release.key) but nothing happened. There is generally no output from this command. I get the message: " NO_PUBKEY" ( followed by a series of numbers and letters ) Please share the series of numbers and letters. Just copy and paste here. I can t...

Re: [Release] Material Moon

Hello. I like this theme, but I notice some issues. In Ubuntu 14.04, installing MM 2.8.3.1 produced this in the menu bar: https://s6.postimg.org/hxd897419/pm_test_profile_material_moon_no_persona.png As you see, the menu bar has darker grey styling as some other themes (like Camimoon), which is fine...

Menu bar styles

(Moved from another thread so we don't have to keep using off-topic tags.) Out of curiosity, do you prefer the menu bar style in Fox 2 The Moon, or as it is in other themes, like Moonfox3? I guess I like the menu bar style in Fox 2 The Moon and Camimoon. I like the differentiated gray when I am not ...

Ghostery & other Known Incompatibilies

Consdering the discussion over here about Ghostery, maybe Ghostery needs to be added to WONTFIX at the Known Incompatibilites page? Or maybe in the WORKAROUND section with the suggestion to install uBlock Origin? Also any word on the suggestion to put Clean Uninstall in the FIXED section (as per thi...

Re: Update Hell

So even though AMO lists the version I posted for Ghostery as a version that will work… . ^ Thanks for the info, so the AMO add-ons list aren't always what they appear to be.... (or should I say, say what they will do...) Do you mean that you are seeing this? https://s6.postimg.org/ajt8wu2f...

Re: Updating Pale Moon in Linux

I moved this from the tutorial thread because support should be here. But please see also what I wrote there in response because I can't move that post, which explains a possible way to remove the old installation. So I would now like to uninstall Pale Moon and reinstall according to your instructio...

Re: How to CORRECTLY install Pale Moon in Ubuntu 14.04 from the repository

I chose Pale Moon in the menu and clicked Uninstall. I got: "...not associated with any package..." and could, if I would, only remove the entry in the menu (which I did not). HOW CAN I NOW GET RID OF IT to then reinstall the right way? I moved this from the tutorial thread. Let's work on removing ...

You don't need to do that. Follow the steps in this tutorial on how to install uBlock Origin in Pale Moon, which apparently nobody is reading anymore.

That is really an excellent point. The support you get for Pale Moon is vastly superior to any other browser I have used! It is part of why I keep using Pale Moon!

Re: How to CORRECTLY install Pale Moon in Ubuntu 14.04 from the repository

I should mention that it is a good idea to run sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade every so often, and then you don't even need to check for an announcement of a new Pale Moon release. It will be installed when it becomes available to the repository. Be advised that you will be upgrading oth...

OK, I entered "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade" my password and clicked I am not very used to Linux Mint yet... Re: Updating Pale Moon in Linux

If you are using Linux Mint 17.x, you could try following the tutorial on installing Pale Moon in Ubuntu 14.04 from the repository . This shows you how to install with apt-get . Whenever there is a new release of Pale Moon, you would just enter " sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade " in a te...

Re: Fox 2 the Moon and personas

This should be fixed as of v4.0.4. That's for Fox 2 the Moon , right? Looking forward to it! Will there also be a fix for Maxi3 , which as I said in the original post has the same issue? For that matter, I noticed the problem also in Maxi4 1.7.0 and White Moon 2.1.0 . Can these be fixed, ...

Re: Why does PM/Firefox's built-in pop-up blocker sometimes fail to do its job?

I have found a great deal of success with uBlock Origin . Read this tutorial on how to install if you need to. Also install uBlock Origin updater for automatic updates. 8-) Or if you want to do it manually, follow the same tutorial (it applies to updating as well as installation).

Fox 2 the Moon and personas

I notice that Fox 2 the Moon doesn't play nice with personas. The menu bar doesn't change with the persona using Persona Switcher, but stays gray like so: https://s6.postimg.org/yijh33qq5/pm_test_profile_fox_2_the_moon_eyes_in_the_clouds.png Camimoon, however does properly render the persona: https:...

Re: Alerts about extensions when opening Pale Moon

Developers add these messages to their extensions. For example, the developer of Search Site said in release notes that the message will pop up three times. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/search-site/versions/7.1 I have seen this same wording in the release notes of other extensions....
