Re: Using "-no-remote -P profile" with Pale Moon

I'm sorry, I don't understand. You are running a bash shell in Windows 7 ? :wtf: Could someone please explain? Thanks. FWIW, here is the output of palemoon --help . (I can't seem to find any actual man pages for Pale Moon.) the --no-remote option should work because it implies --new-instance . Usage...

Re: History window missing "Yesterday"

It is possible. Today I see there is a Yesterday folder. But then I also installed the lastest build (2017-10-18) before checking again, so maybe it was fixed? ¿Quién sabes? :)

MacMoon issue

I really like the MacMoon theme as it reminds me of Mac OS X Tiger, which I liked using 10 years ago. Unfortunately, it appears to use a great deal more CPU than any other theme I have installed, often taking my processor up to 100%, especially when I open the Add-ons Manager page. Actually, every a...

History window missing "Yesterday"

Noticed a change in the History window. In 27.4.2, we were given the choices of Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, and specific months. https://s6.postimg.org/gl1yqkew1/History_issue_pm_27-4-2.png In 27.6.0a1, it appears as though Yesterday is missing. Is there some way to bring it back? It is quite com...

Re: Tile Tabs version warning

You are right that there is a major change happening with Firefox in terms of the technology it is using. Essentially it is dropping full add-ons (complete themes and extensions which use XUL technology) and replacing with WebExtensions, which are not full extensions but rather very limited. It also...

Re: Updating FEBE

I can verify this. I currently have FEBE 8.3.1 installed, and I get an update notification in the Add-ons Manager: https://s6.postimg.org/7jnfcum2l/FEBE_update_issue_01.png But when I click on "Update Now", I get an error message that gives little clue as to what went wrong: https://s6.postimg.org/6...

Re: The future for extensions listed but not hosted by Pale Moon

An easier way to install some of these add-ons is to use Moon Tester Tool . It changes not only the install.rdf but also the chrome.manifest (which in some cases is necessary for toolbar buttons and/or menu entries to appear). It also modifies HTTP response to that it is easier to donwnload and/or i...

Have you considered upgrading to the latest version, which 27.5.1?

Re: Zoom Page WE addon

The firefox website doesn't allow me to update directly https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/zoom-page-we/ Pale Moon does not support WebExtensions. PM supports full add-ons that have more extensive customization capabilities. (I hate the term "legacy".) Read this from Pale Moon's creator...

Re: In PM 27.5.1 I want to see a reload button

There is a way to split Reload and Stop without having to use text in the toolbar or install any extension. Right-click on the Stop/Reload button (or any toolbar button) and select "Customize". While the Customize dialog is open, you see that in the Navigation Bar, the buttons in question have split...

Re: Ayuda con Pale Moon

Si puedo decirlo, como alternativa, es posible que Ud. quiera instalar uBlock Origin, ya que es un bloqueador de amplio espectro. (Y luego instale uBlock Origin Updater).

En cualquier caso, ¡buena suerte!

Re: Add-on update hangs!

In Add-ons Manager, click on "More" next to an extension you want to update. (Just pick any one for now.) Then click on "Check for Updates". What happens? And I would still like to know if Pale Moon only tries to update activated add-ons, or also such that are installed but not activated? It will up...

Thanks! It was in /opt and is now removed. What shall I so next? Remove something else or reinstall? And what shall I do with home/jan-erik/.moonchild productions? Do nothing with that directory. It has your profile, which has all your bookmarks, passwords, etc. It will be used by your new installa...

Re: Update Hell

So all MTT does is modify JS so the button will say "Pale Moon" instead of "Firefox"? (that's it?) Oh, no, that is just one of several nice benefits of this extension. One of the things I used it for is to install version 2.18 of Extension Options Menu , which lists the minimum Firefox version as 3...

Re: Update Hell

I'm confused, yes the green button is what I'm referring to (that would suggest this specific version is the most recent that will work with PM), but I am not using the Moon Tester Tool but rather just getting this result directly from the AMO website .... Ok, does your green button say "Add to Fir...

Re: [Release] Material Moon

Installed 2.8.4a1 in Ubuntu, and it looks like this: https://s6.postimg.org/7kvj0vfbh/pm_test_material_moon_284a1_eyes_in_the_clouds.png The gap is fixed. However, the gray title bar remains unyielding, and the double writing persists. :| And there is a new issue, a strange fading in the N...
