Re: Choosing 32-bit or 64-bit Pale Moon. An update??

But the 64 bit version just changed the Target and the Start In: entries on my 32 bit shortcut! So I created a new one. But it did not create a 64 bit entry on my Programs list. Strange. Harry Why would it do that? Nobody is expected to run both versions at the same time, there is no benefit to doi...

Re: Facebook went into infinite reload loop, cookies are enabled

Works in vanilla profile, I've gone through the drill. Pretty sure it isn't the extensions because I haven't added or updated any, just the settings.

I reset all the network.http.referer settings and network.http.sendRefererHeader, still the same problem. Have disabled uBO and nMatrix on Facebook as well.

Facebook went into infinite reload loop, cookies are enabled

I was going through about:config and I may have goofed up something  Result is that Facebook goes into an infinite loop of trying to reload, but won't trigger the usual 'this site is reloading many times' warning (because cookies are enabled for it). I'm not sure what I messed with so I've att...

Re: Microsoft Teams

So soon to be only Chrome like Google's services and 95% of the rest of the corperate mainstream web. Didn't people learn their lesson 20 years ago? With the ageism prevalent in Silicon Valley, I bet everyone old enough to remember the original browser wars has been pushed out of most places, and b...

Re: Choosing 32-bit or 64-bit Pale Moon. An update??

I notice that when I do an update, Pale Moon no longer asks me if I want a 32 bit or 64 bit version. It just gives me the 32 bit, which is what I have used since I started with Pale Moon years ago. It used to ask you which one to use when using the built in auto update? :wtf: I would imagine the 32...

Re: Choosing 32-bit or 64-bit Pale Moon. An update??

32 bit processors are long defunct, and with average desktop memory requirements (for serious use) around 8 GB, it is really pointless to be using a 32 bit OS anymore, whose address space is limited to 4 GB. Also seen by gradual removal of 32 bit builds among distros, the only people still intereste...

I don't get any such warning, it displays a login prompt. Hope you're using the very latest version of Pale Moon (and if not, why?)

That signature is using the wrong front and the icon is old and insecure. Design wise it is all over the place. Truly a substandard piece of work. I said so at the time.

If you are looking for older Firefox extensions that will work in Pale Moon, install Classic Addons Archive and search there.

Re: What do you think about the Web Compat project?

I don't think there's much use in starting to report there. Do you see any other minor browsers listed on that site, or is it just comparing between the biggest mainstream giants? Probably only Chrome and Firefox. All others are derived from Chrome anyway. And as I said, time was when compatibility...

Re: The Official Interlink Mail & News Discussion Thread

I was happy that you made it so that at first launch Interlink asks for a password unlike Thunderbird, but if I click cancel I can go right in and read emails. Maybe this should be fixed? Take a look at Master Password+ It's for Pale Moon only for now, but maybe you could change the application ID ...

As I suspected. It's not about adhering to a standard, because then it would be browser agnostic.

So does this mean I have to use another browser to access the bank site?
Probably. I've always stuck to IE and now Chrome for banks and government websites. Those are least likely to follow standards and just blindly follow what's used by default.

Compatibility with what though? HTML5 being a 'living' standard now, it's a moving target. Seems like code for 'make sure your site works in the top two browsers in the market'.

However, this time it can be a double-edged sword if some pages won't work and those testing with another browser will realize that the sky isn't falling when accessing those sites. Nobody(website operators, businesses, end users, security experts) cares about anything other than Chrome when it com...
