Quality of legacy extensions
I spent a good two hours going through the Legacy Collector list yesterday. What I noticed was how a massive number of them are just pure junk. Adblockers for individual sites - when Adblock Plus/Latitude/uBlock have been the most popular extensions of all time. Site specific addons, many for sites ...

Re: ηMatrix/eMatrix support thread
No flicker here, on either Linux (current) or Windows 10 earlier. Well, good for you. I should add that this isn't actually an issue with ηMatrix per se; it can happen with any number of add-ons that frequently update their icon state. It just so happens that ηMatrix and Cookies Exterminator are th...

Re: Twitter Doesn't Work
Did you check for blocked cookies, or an adblock filter gone bad? uBlock Origin and nMatrix both have a log showing what was blocked - don't block stuff from twitter.com and subdomains, particularly platform.twitter.com.

Re: Recommended way to make page modifying extensions?
Actually what I want is for the extension's toolbar button and menu item to be enabled or disabled based on whether it's relevant to the currently open tab's URL. So have to check both page loads as well as switching between tabs.

Re: Palemoon not working properly
For example, the icon in the launcher is not as expected, consisting of a grey square with a question mark. Detail! Did the launcher icon get created by itself? I'm on Mint 19.2 Xfce and didn't face this. You can of course edit the launcher and set the icon - it is under <install location>/browser/...

Re: Load extensions to Palemoon.com with bugfixes included
Thank you! I'm afraid I have more questions though. As far as I understand forked extensions should contain comments in code regarding the changes. What else does one need to do to fork an extension? Should the extension name be totally different or does one only need to add some words at the end p...

Re: Calendate
I'm not going to do any screenshots or anything because it is too blatantly obvious and because this isn't important enough to me. There are other, better extensions for this anyway. But important enough to gripe about it here without providing any further information, because hey, the developer ow...

Re: Palemoon not working properly
He means starting Pale Moon in safe mode (i.e. with extensions disabled), not rebooting the OS to safe mode!

Re: Clear history window sometimes opens incorrectly
I mean, those console messages are to do with List this and not the problem you're facing. Besides, it's a deprecation warning asking the developer to code in a different way, doesn't mean it doesn't work currently.

Seems to be from an extension called Listit or List it.

Re: Detect restricted network access
So this captive portal detection works by the browser trying to reach a known server? I thought it was an OS feature, since I've only used it on Android.

Re: The Official Interlink Mail & News Discussion Thread
Noticed a strange problem - when clicking 'new account' - it doesn't ask what type of account to add and straightaway assumes I want to add an NNTP account (I already have one configured). Seen this both from File->New account and clicking 'Add account' in the accounts settings window.

Re: Detect restricted network access
I want to chime in here and say I know that myself, but why would there be an option for something like that? I take it that it's a form of MiTM detection in case of a portal you're not privy to or what? I mean, before with FF or Chrome in my phone or a laptop I was just taken directly to the capti...

Re: Detect restricted network access
A captive portal is a form of public wifi network login page - when you connect to the network, it pops up the page first before you can do anything else. You can easily see this on an Android phone connecting to a free public network like at an airport or mall -it may ask you to authenticate with a...

Re: Set live bookmarks update interval?
Thanks for the clarification. I was looking at a quick way to follow replies to a Linux Mint forum question without having to fire up my dedicated desktop RSS client (QuiteRSS). 1 hour refresh sounds reasonable.

Re: ηMatrix/eMatrix support thread
I like it the way it is. If a page isn't working I can instantly know that maybe it's blocking too many things. Beats a boring on-off type status.

Set live bookmarks update interval?
Came across this ancient tip for Firefox 3 saying that you need to create browser.bookmarks.livemark_refresh_seconds in about:config.
Does it apply to Pale Moon, and if not how does one do it?
