Re: Mozilla described the plan to destroy Firefox in detail
If i may add my 2pences worth, I think this discussion is a bit premature at this present moment of time as firefox 57 has not even been released yet and i find this lynch mob mentality disturbing. It seems that mozilla have been hung ,drawn and quartered before anything has actually occurred. Im no...

Re: Mozilla described the plan to destroy Firefox in detail
I dont like the chrome browser period.
If it were not for mozilla developers then i doubt chrome would exist.
Could anybody explain why there is this rise in chrome as i see nothing particularly exceptional about it.
Best wishes.

Its a perfectly viable and valid question, Why take on 2 browsers when its a struggle to keep 1 on the go.....? Tell me kind sir how a...

Re: A new subforum for the new Firefox-derivative browser in PM forum?
Safe to assume the pale moon we know now will be deprecated and replaced by new browser. That would be the best way to go.?

Re: Mozilla described the plan to destroy Firefox in detail
How is a browser supposed to look without looking like others.
1.tabs.
2.search bar.
3.settings button.
These apply to all browsers.
Firefox is not the chrome garbage.I believe firefox is better than chrome.

Re: Website and services sustainability. Would you donate?
The thing with composing posts of that sort is that people will get bored after the first paragraph and it just turns into a waffling group of nonsense. We dont want novels to be posted and the nature of the rant is both boring and resignatory. The more you post the more you push users away. Does wa...

Thats quite an epic novel of a post and robert browning would be proud of your pathos and passion. :wtf: Nobody is freeloading... Are chrome users free loading from big brother google.......nope. Re: Website and services sustainability. Would you donate?
What are the costs for maintaining a browser.? If figures were provided then it can put things into perspective.I notice people mention donating just £1 per user etc and if usage figures are to be taken into account then this would mean £500,000+ generated from every user.So are we to say that runni...

Re: Problem playing videos
I use the HTML5 Media Tuner and do not have any issues playing YouTube videos with the "Media Mode" for YouTube videos set at "HTML5+MSE" for this add-on. Thanks, the add-on helped a bit. It's still not perfect, but on YouTube I at least have the option of decreasing the video quality, which seems ...

Re: Website and services sustainability. Would you donate?
So what is the total cost of operation of PM then? Just to keep all the tech working. Monthly or yearly. How do other small browsers like Vivaldi support themselves on the financial side of things? Maybe there are some lessons to be learned there. Sorry, but I can't get your point. What these thing...

Re: Website and services sustainability. Would you donate?

However this is my stance. 1.i havent got a clue "how to" donate,,no seriously i have not donated online before. 2.Being a sceptic, how do i know donations are going on what they say they are..? Sorry thats not a dig at moonchild personally but in this day...

Javascript control in the permissions window would be nice.Saves using an extension or digging around pale moon commander.
Just a friendly suggestion.

Re: Branding design contest discussions
I'm not going to re-brand Pale Moon to Palemoon just because some whingers still live in the early '90s and don't want to use a space in a path that they don't even need to enter manually. And you guys still aren't reading. This branding is not for Pale Moon. It is for a new, Firefox-Australis-base...

Re: Looking forward in 2017 - Questions
[quote="Pale as the Moon" ]This browser should be ready in late November or December 2017 in order to gain traction. You need to present the disgruntled Firefox users a suitable alternative in time, before they switch to other browsers. Thats assuming firefox users are going to switch although this ...

Can the new browser not evolve from what we have now or is that too much of an undertaking.?
