Re: Search engines in PM27

Custom search engines wouldn't be removed from your user profile (where they usually live), not even Google. They would only get removed if they'd been added to the default engines that are pre-bundled in the installation directory. See https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=12814#p90657

Re: saveLinkOnAltClick and Right Links ?

...Right Links O.3.8.4.1-signed.1-signed (if i remember correctly) I just installed Right Links 0.3.8.4.1-signed.1-signed without any trouble on PM 27.0.3 and did not see a notification about incompatibility or Jetpack (nor did the xpi contain a 'harness-options.json' or 'package.json'). I've never...

Re: AdBlock Latitude + Element Hider not blocking some elements

This seems to be connected to some sort of change in EasyList from about two weeks ago. (Read here and here.)

Try disabling then re-enabling EasyList (Filter Preferences -> uncheck, then recheck the box next to EasyList).

Re: Add "Add-ons" to the default bookmarks toolbar

Hello KNTRO. For what I think see here: https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=13483 (' Suggestion: Include bookmark to Add-ons Site with other "1st Run" bookmarks '). However about this... ...without the need to search beyond for compatible add-ons at AMO Business concerns with "brand awar...

Re: No choice of "blank" in home page preference

If you enter about:blank in the Home Page field you should get a completely blank page with no logo as a home page. The page with the PM logo (about:logopage) is produced if you select "Show a blank page" for startup page -- PM then starts with about:logopage rather than the home page. For info, the...

Re: Screw ups with new JWPlayer

But how can I be sure that JW Player uses Flash Player in Pale Moon 32-bit in order to play this webtv video? If you're asking how to know for sure whether it uses flash: If it displays "Flash Version **" when you R-click the video, it's using flash. If this does not display, the player is not usin...

Re: Download separate windows

You can use the extension Downloads Window.

When you click to install it will say it's incompatible, but that's an AMO goof, the developer has specifically made it compatible with Pale Moon. I use it and have been pleased with it.

Re: [Official Thread] Adblock Latitude

Thanks Undim, this worked for me too.
A pity it has to be redone every time the browser is started, but a big step up from "never-updating-filter-lists".

Re: Delete offline data

Reading those issues (739 and 760), looks like the solution is easy for the first part. But question: Will the benefit of flipping this pref still be limited to 'Permanent' storage? (considering that unwanted files have been showing up for people as 'Default' (this thread) or ' Temporary ') Accordi...

Re: Delete offline data

Just looked at Pale Moon's github repository, saw these: Offline data is saved without asking (issue#739) Clarify UI for off-line data storage (and enable by default) (issue#760) So looks like the pref offline-apps.allow_by_default will become accessible through user-facing options. Thank you! But q...

Re: Screw ups with new JWPlayer

@FootballerGR, Your video actually doesn't play for me, and I'm on Win 7 x86 (PM 27.02.) Flash Player (FP) on/off, MSE on/off makes no difference -- at all times it tries and fails to play an m3u8 playlist file -- using html5. (With x86 Pale Moon, where it did play for you, did JW Player use FP or h...

Re: Trobleshooting user.js Preferences

Terryphi, In my portable setup where I do have a user.js, the entry on the about:support page links the words " user.js file " to the actual file in my profile. Hovering on it displays its file address in my status bar, and clicking on it opens a tab that displays the preferences it contains. Does t...

Re: PM27: Site-Specific Cookie Settings Ignored

@cf099, Everything @billmcct said (use permissions.sqlite), but one more thing... Just in case, make sure you have not checked 'Site Preferences' in your custom "Settings for Clearing History" nor in the the "Clear Recent History" dialog -- because cookie exceptions are site preferences and as such ...

Re: PM27: Site-Specific Cookie Settings Ignored

"Use custom settings for history" mode always resets to "Remember history". Not for me. Works for me too. @JustOff, I always use custom settings. This is just a thought... it's happened once or twice that I started to set this up for a new profile, exposed everything, and then clicked OK before mak...

However in the profile folder there is some stuff that remains after closing the browser. Kinda not fond of the random donation beggathon tab which randomly popped up while I was trying to load a webpage (not even while trying to download anything) :\ There's another add-on with similar functionality and name, Download Status Bar , that I understand works with a bit of modding. It does ...

Re: [Official Thread] Adblock Latitude

Even though my official ABL backup was from 5 Dec, the last update was from 3 Dec. So I went ahead and reverted back to my earliest updated (5 Dec) and lo and behold, the wiki nags and my rss reader nags are gone. Thanks for confirming this and glad it helped (even if short term). FWIW, the backup ...

In about:config, for ABL 4.0 (or 3.0.3.1) set extensions.adblockplus.subscriptions_autoupdate to false

For anyone using ABL 3.5 the preference is extensions.adblocklatitude.subscriptions_autoupdate

Re: [Official Thread] Adblock Latitude

I would like to turn this off in a custom ABL filter list. I thought I had this banner blocked, with ABP on other browsers before (and I did import my ABP settings into ABL). Sadly, element blocking is very erratic (Win7 64bit, PM 27.0.2, ABL 4.0.0). Some elements are being hidden, some not. @Kereb...
