Re: Release Notes page always loads on startup
Do you use ccleaner? Sometimes a quick clean of things can help. What antivirus do you use? If beyond win defender, maybe turn off temp and see. Any recent changes to win 10 or apps on it besides update of PM? What was your normal homepage domain before this happened ? Do you have FF installed or ot...

Re: Release Notes page always loads on startup
With Pale moon closed (if open click menu/exit or file/exit to close), if you launch the profile manager and create a new profile and then start Pale Moon with the new profile, does the new profile do this? You can launch the profile manager by entering palemoon.exe -p (or palemoon -profilemanager) ...

Re: US Bank now needs UA Override to avoid warning banner
I saw a similar outdated browser warning this morning at Investors Bank. It disappeared on a refresh. Capture2.PNG I'll mention it to my bank but they'll likely say the decisions are made by technical support and they are not generally open to suggestions. If necessary I'll add UA override as PMR ha...

Re: Pale browser not meshing with Yahoo after new updates & slow
@ tenseys Your screenshot of Yahoo email Basic is what my Yahoo email looks like. Yeah I've seen our email sometimes referred to as "Yahoo Classic" email but really it's "Yahoo Basic" email. Yahoo Classic email (also known as Full Featured Email) looks like this: Classic.PNG Very different. Notice ...

Re: Pale browser not meshing with Yahoo after new updates & slow
I use the Basic version of Yahoo email with a couple of Yahoo email addresses and I have no issues with it and Pale Moon. I just switched one Yahoo basic email account to the newest version using the "switch to newest email" link in the account (didn't like it) and I didn't see any issues with it an...

How to fix an HTML5 video issue with Pale Moon on Windows 10
This tutorial explains how to fix a specific HTML5 MP4/H.264 video problem that affects the Pale Moon browser on some Windows 10 computers. The video related issues this tutorial fixes in Pale Moon on Windows 10 include: 1.YouTube videos won't play in HD. They stay stuck in 360p. 2. Some sites like ...

Amazon review area looks weird in PM
When I go to any product page in Amazon and look at the reviews, the review buttons and area looks a little mangled in PM compared to FF and other browsers. Here is an example link: https://www.amazon.com/SABRE-RED-Pepper-Gel-Spray/product-reviews/B002E6RERU/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_ttl?ie=UTF8&reviewerType=a...

Re: Misbehaving tab shuts down all tabs?
I'm saying that normally the tab/s should not be freezing in the first place. I think it might be a good idea to explore why this site (and a few others) take 10-15 seconds to load and freeze the tabs, regularly, for you on your Pale Moon. Is it your network... is it an extension/plugin you are usin...

Re: Misbehaving tab shuts down all tabs?
I just tried that site and it loads instantly for me (logged in or out) and does not freeze or interfere with any other previously loaded tabs or use of browser.

FWIW Google Maps works fine for me. It works fine in all three user agent modes. I normally just keep it on the default Firefox Compatibility setting.

Re: Youtube's future new interface
In FF (+ ABP + NoScript) on a video page I've seen even more ads, not only in the upper right corner and before the main video, but also more ad overlays(?) in the main videos itself. - I didn't know that from using Pale Moon. I don't see any ads at all on YouTube using FF57 (or other versions of F...

Re: Youtube's future new interface
I think I have a sensitive fan and when I say set it off, I mean its lowest increase in speed. Pale Moon usually never sets it off no matter what I am doing (except for this one time with new YT). The CPU and memory usually stay in a very low range.

Re: Youtube's future new interface
Yeah it is a little cpu intensive and site feels a little slower for me. Doesn't take much to get my fan going - a video and a couple of tabs - 2 vids easy. Not terrible since it will calm down but still. I like it quiet and quick like it was. I'm going to reset that back to default and use older YT...

Re: Youtube's future new interface
Okay thank you.
I just tried the one that FF 57 uses and that works but I think I'll use the one you posted.
Update: that one works good. I think I prefer this look on YT but if my cpu starts acting up on it I'll fall back.

Re: Block mining
You can block browser based bitcoin/cryptocurrency mining in Pale Moon and other browsers with an ad blocker like Ublock Origin or Adblock Latitude . Ublock Origin blocks them in its Resource Abuse filter/list. I believe EasyList which various ad blockers use also has entries that block them. There ...
