The fact that the certificate is being issued by "Adguard Personal CA" means Adguard is causing the issue. I would disable this filtering being done by Adguard if at all possible.

Is Adguard an add-on? If so, try disabling it (or running the browser in Safe Mode) and see if the problem persists.

Exactly what the error says: The version you're trying to install is a WebExtension add-on, which Pale Moon does not support.

It looks like "firefox-legacy-beta-2.10.8.xpi" is the latest release that is compatible with Pale Moon. The later releases don't appear to have a "legacy" version.

I believe it is turned off in the official releases of Basilisk, so you would have to build Basilisk yourself with the MOZ_SAFE_BROWSING config option enabled.

That preference (and the similar "pbmode" preference) are used by Mozilla's Tracking Protection feature, which is disabled in Pale Moon because it doesn't work without an API key and is pretty much only intended to be used by Mozilla Firefox.

Perhaps something at the router/network level is mucking with your traffic?

If you view the certificate from the "Add an exception" dialog, who does it say is the issuer of the certificate, and who is it issued to?

What are the technical details shown on that page? Is it the same error code for every site you have this issue with?

That screen is there for a good reason - to warn you that something is not right with the SSL connection. Reader View for Pale Moon does have a button for toggling image visibility while in Reader Mode - bottom icon on the left toolbar. Added it in v1.3.0.

Have you tried using Safe Mode or a new, temporary profile? (Sometimes disabling add-ons is not enough.) Do you see any messages in the error console?
