Re: The end is nigh (of Windows 7 that is)
I picked two options.
I'm already using Linux Mint for most things at home, but also have Win 7 on a separate partition. I may migrate it to 10 some day, but I'm not in a hurry.
Edit: Also using Win 10 at work, but I didn't factor that on for this poll.

Verify that you have write permissions for the directory you have installed Pale Moon in. The updater won't work otherwise.

Personally I would create a brand new profile using the profile manager and test with that first. Identify specific things that work with the new profile that do not work with the old, then slowly copy extensions and settings over while keeping an eye on the items you have identified.

Re: Ad blockers are infringing copright - Axel Springer
What we have today in the ad industry is akin to what would happen if we'd have Harry Potter like newspapers, but then having the moving pictures just be ads or even worse, preventing you from reading the article because they (literally) pop up over the text you want to read, or having the newspape...

Or you could make a Vivaldi-style theme for Pale Moon.

Re: Addon compatibility checker how to disable?
What add-ons exactly are you trying to install? Are you sure they are legacy (overlay or bootstrap) extensions and not WebExtensions? Also note that Jetpack extension support is flaky at best, those may not install correctly if at all.

To each their own. Some people prefer monochrome for readability and functional purposes. Obviously not everyone does. That's why the theming capability exists.

Page said the actual vulnerable code relies on how Internet Explorer deals with CTRL+K (duplicate tab), "Print Preview," or "Print" user commands. I would guess that PM is not affected, since this appears to be a browser-specific exploit. The researcher posted the POC exploit on his website. Looks ...

Unfortunately, this is what happens when you let your marketing team haphazardly throw together operating system without getting it fully vetted by an experienced QA team.

You should leave comments on the support site linked to on the addon's page on APO, not on Mozilla's site.

To reiterate what has been said elsewhere, that pref only applies to PM 27. The pref does not exist and is not used at all in PM 28.

Most antivirus software are suspicious of any internet-connected program that isn't whitelisted. Chrome and Firefox are often whitelisted by many AV programs.

I voted no. His knowledge, expertise, and insight is extremely helpful to have on the forum. In case you couldn't tell, he's pretty passionate about this project, and he's not a bad guy once you get to know him a bit. That said, sometimes that passion can come out as a bit offputting. If you're to a...
