Re: major browsers to stop hyperlink auditing.

My right, is to visit their site on my own terms. Your right is to visit their site or go elsewhere. THAT is your only right. Of course it is in their own interest to make your visit pleasant but in no way are you in any position where you can demand that a store owner lays out their store differen...

Re: Add-ons for palemoon links

We'd prefer that extension authors use our add-ons site to publish extensions for Pale Moon. Links to external sites in foreign languages with XPIs may get moderated out if it's in the moderator's opinion not a safe link and/or the posted extensions seem to be in violation of rights. Them being in ...

Re: Font oddity

Yes, if your system setting for cleartype is on, then the browser should pick that up and apply to content, unless you explicitly set preferences differently.

Re: Change User Agent String Automatically

There is no way the UserAgent can improve compatibility with websites and applications. We have 10 years of experience with the opposite, because webmaster don't listen and don't make changes. Neither will framework authors. They will continue using UA sniffing which means to be compatible you have...

Re: major browsers to stop hyperlink auditing.

I don't see this as a "tinfoil hat" issue at all. To be honest, I do not think the browser that the user uses, and pays for through energy bill, should provide information that the user has no control over to ANY external party. I also don't see any possible justification for that. I'm sorry but yo...

Re: 28.4.0 64bit some sites lag a lot onedrive, youtube

I've been intensively using youtube this past week, with long sessions, feature-length videos, playlists, etc. -- I have not experienced any lags, lockups or anything else detrimental while using the site. I'm not sure what can be done if you experience issues with it as I do not.

comment 42 just indicates they want to move forward with enabling it by default, but want to double-check for any differences (there likely aren't any) and address them first.

Pale Moon unstable - manual update might be needed

To everyone using the unstable Pale Moon channel: you may have to perform a manual update (as in: downloading an installer and running it) if the update to today's version 28.5.0a2 (2019-04-21) isn't happening. This is due to a small mistake in the update JS module not being able to get the proper u...

Re: Your Theme Song today

And on a completely different note today I was going through old stuff that needs to be sorted, coming across both retro console things and some OCRemix audio files of the same.

My theme song therefore has turned into "Monstrous Turtles!" for today: https://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01558

Re: major browsers to stop hyperlink auditing.

Is this really privacy issue.? It can be for those who mistakenly think they are not being recorded by code that website owners place on sites themselves (1st party). But otherwise it's as stated more of a tinfoil hat issue. Not that I agree with having pings enabled by default myself since it can ...

Re: Waterfox has Jumped the Shark

Although I agree with CharmCityCrab that that is a way to look at things, there are also plenty of signals to indicate it's a much less favorable (for Alex) story. Should I remind that we offered to work with him and he decided it was not "the direction he wanted to go in"? That it was his decision ...

Re: Your Theme Song today

My theme song for today has to undoubtedly be: B.E.T.H. - The Incredible News To Access

Why? Because today's been nothing but a cascade of people telling me things that border on unbelievable with how crazy they are. The track is just as crazy of a composition.

The patch was merged to master after the release of 28.4.0and not critical for the point release to warrant an uplift.
It will be in 28.5.0.

If I'm forced to Linux I'll be using an enterprise Linux as well, because those are the only ones with at least some semblance of predictability. My computer needs to be a reliable tool for work.

Re: the hitchhiker's guide to faster builds

Vanilla, this has absolutely nothing to do with unified compiling and talks about normal practices of full vs. incremental builds. If you do want to couple those, the recompiling is actually way worse in unified builds (basically breaking incremental builds) because if one file of a concet-ed chunk ...

Re: Website freezes Palemoon

Since it's just html i wonder why there is this reaction, shouldn't above the fold load and then slowly load what's below the fold? No, because that's not how web pages are normally laid out. It does display what is above the fold but the continued loading and repainting will simply swamp the layou...
