Re: Mozilla does it again -- bookmark descriptions are kaput!

EDIT. Never mind. Was thinking of something different. I actually delete the descriptions and use that space for password/username hints.

Re: The E.U. has gone insane today

Nice to know Europe is following in communist China's footsteps. Glad I don't live in Europe. I thought GDPR was pretty bad. You're an american I presume? What the hell do you know about anything related to communism? I live in Czech republic. Unlike you, we know plenty. And GDPR is really good. Fo...

Glad I got rid of Facebook. I use Twitter now, but not as much and it's about as bad.

Re: That's why the new YouTube design is loaded five times slower in all browsers except Chrome

It's a damn shame the original creators of YouTube sold out to Google. It was a nice platform back then and my channel looked nice. Then Google took over and my channel went to crap. Then I was having issues and thought if I added G+ it would work. Well it didn't work and I lost my original username...

Re: Are American's Getting Smarter Online?

Well, I would argue America has always been smart and at the forefront of all of the world's shit. I present you the following: Samuel Morse patented the telegraph in 1837, then 167 years latter some schmuck named Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook. If you ask me, progress is one step forward two step...

Re: Complete YouTube Saver

In the past I used a script for Greasemonkey that added download buttons to YouTube. So just remember, if there's no add-on available for what ever it is you need, there may be a Greasemonkey script that can do the job. I use a script to download Pandora music. Granted it's in m4a format, but I conv...

Re: Password manager for Pale Moon 28.0?

I do not like password managers that rely on external sites, so I am using an old (and alas unmaintained) but nice Firefox extension: password-hasher . With this extension, all you need is a private password that you can easily remember and use with all websites; that password is hashed with the si...

Re: Password manager for Pale Moon 28.0?

You can try the password manager keepass, and just use that. Or if you want to integrate keepass with Pale Moon follow these instructions: Under the Internet section in Keepass click the little key icon to create add an entry. Now in the title field use the domain to the website you use your passwor...

Re: Real Two Step Securty

Here's some food for thought. https://krebsonsecurity.com/2018/08/hanging-up-on-mobile-in-the-name-of-security/ Why people keep that much money tied up in volatile crypto currency I'll never know. Probably all about greed and status. I'd personally cash out and talk to a financial planner and CPA an...

Re: How to permanently delete Facebook account?

That is my understanding as well. They give you the option to delete your account and before you do give you the option to backup your data. Given the fact it's "evil Facebook", they are supposed to delete your data anyway. If you have any Facebook Apps installed, you need to make sure you log out o...

I believe it was WorldIP that I once used and when I found out they nabbed your browsing habits I nixed it. Other than that it was a flawless add-on.

Re: Flagfox DB Updating

A simple query to WHOIS would be a lot better. Albeit they may not like that since as it stands now they use a captcha.

When I ran Fire Fox I had one such extension.

Re: How to permanently delete Facebook account?

Managed to delete my account. Used VMware Player to do it. I saw a YouTube video about blank pages with Facebook and it seems like that was due to a caching issue. Yet I never store a cache or cookies, and I use Sandboxie for my browser so nothing should stick. Don't understand that one. Why not lea...

Re: Flagfox DB Updating

Flagfox has been nothing but a PITA. Is there anything else more suitable rather than having to update a damn database all the time? Bad enough I don't see the Google map work anymore.
