Re: Constant activity on the Outlook page

And.. your profile is now corrupt because you didn't follow instructions. GOOD JOB. I said older versions of the v28 milestone for this specific reason. Profiles are not backwards compatible with previous milestones like v27 or v26 due to massive differences. You have inrtoduced issues into your pr...

Re: Constant activity on the Outlook page

Tell me, does it hapoen with older versions of the v28 milestone now.. If so it is a change on their side if not then it is a change on our side.. if yoy have not actually checked then don't automatically assume it is the fault of the Application. I noticed it immediately after upgrade to 28.2 beca...

Re: Constant activity on the Outlook page

Just to make it clear - in a safe mode (no addons, etc) the background activity is still there. PM versions before 28.2 did not display this behavior for sure. If someone could tell me how to enable and access full logging in PM I probably would be able to narrow down the possible cause of the probl...

Re: Constant activity on the Outlook page

I see (Pale Moon 28.2.1) at the Outlook inbox page constant polling of client-s.gateway.messenger.live.com so activity indicator is active. The same is in Firefox ESR 52.9 which stays with about 5 request total, one of which - client-s.gateway.messenger.live.com - is in endless loop. But it is not ...

Re: Constant activity on the Outlook page

show me a bug for which there is NOT someone saying "but on my system that's OK" Here: 867 . This bug affected every Pale Moon 28.2.0 installation. Well, I must admit I was wrong... but honestly, I wish I was right. A major release ("addressing performance, web compatibility, bugfixes, regressions ...

Re: Constant activity on the Outlook page

Actually, it DOES mean something. It means that this is not a pervasive problem across all instances of Pale Moon 28.2.1. Since this is acting up for you and not for Night Wing, one of these differences (system, settings, etc.) could be the exact reason why you are having problems. What you're sayi...

Re: Constant activity on the Outlook page

I have a Hotmail (MS Outlook) email account. I have absolutely no problems with my Hotmail account. And I'm using 64 bit linux Pale Moon 28.2.1 running in 64 bit linux Mint 19 (Tara) Xfce. This version of linux Mint reaches it's end of life in April of 2023. This is just a shot in the dark, but do ...

Constant activity on the Outlook page

Hi, Having updated to 28.2 and then to 28.2.1 I noticed that my Hotmail (MS Outlook, etc) page is constantly active (screenshot). I can stop it manually, but it resumes itself after several seconds and never stops. I am absolutely positive that it had not behaved like this before the update and I ha...

Re: Oracle JRE crashes Palemoon 28.1

Hi guys, Looks like removing the plugin worked. Thanks a lot! Just in case anyone faces the same problem I'll list the steps I took to solve the problem (though I do not think the sequence is 100% important): 1. Installed Oracle Java 8 from webupd8team ppa. 2. It automatically installed oracle-java8...

Re: Oracle JRE crashes Palemoon 28.1

Check about:addons or the like. Thank you for your reply. Do you know if there is a way to edit addons/plugins settings via editing any config file or something? As I said, when Oracle Java is present in the system, Palemoon simply does not start, even if OpenJDK7 is set as default system-wide (I a...

Oracle JRE crashes Palemoon 28.1

Good evening, It happened that I needed to install the latest Oracle Java 8 alongside with OpenJDK 7, so I did. After that Palemoon fails on start: ~$ palemoon palemoon: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/jvm/java-8-oracle/jre/lib/amd64/libnpjp2.so: undefined symbol: _ZSt7getlineIcSt11char_traitsIcESaIcE...

Re: Automatic Updater not working for PM28.0.1

@Zinkum, The internal updater can only do its job if Pale Moon is located in a user-writable location. How and where did you install Pale Moon? Ah, that's the thing... It's in /opt, as it has always been. OK, looks like automatic updater is not really automatic and the terminal is one's best friend...

Re: Automatic Updater not working for PM28.0.1

@trava90
Hm, I am not sure what you're talking about... Isn't the built-in updater supposed to do the job?
If not, could you provide any instructions on how to use the updater please?
Thank you.

Same here, all I see is only the link to the Palemoon website.

Re: Very high CPU load on Youtube, etc

Thank you, Fedor2 Turning off hardware acceleration indeed helped a bit despite all the surrealism of that action... No dropped frames at 360p, though still 100% CPU load. Of course, MSIE is still way better and allows HD at about 70-80% CPU. BTW, it turned out that it is possible to download videos...

Very high CPU load on Youtube, etc

Hi, I've seen several similar topics on this forum and it looks like the newer versions of Palemoon fixed the problem for the most of them. Not me unfortunately. So, here it goes. Every Youtube video (regardless of resolution, 240p as well) is slow, drops frames and loads 100% CPU. To be more precis...
