Re: Forum migrated

Thank you for including a dark theme. It’s a nice one. I can now disable Advanced Night Mode for the forum :).

Re: Forum logs me out every few days even if "remember me" is checked

Hello Moonchild, no proxy, VPN or shared public IP. But yes I have a few other addons… The ones that look like they might interfere are: - Greedy Cache - Smart Referer - uBlock origin (blocking nothing) - uMatrix (blocking nothing) - Decentraleyes (but uMatrix is telling me forum.palemoon.org doesn’...

Forum logs me out every few days even if "remember me" is checked

Hello, despite clicking "remember me" when I login to the forum, it still logs me out regularly (every few days?). It’s a bit annoying especially since my settings (including masking some people’s posts) don’t work when not logged-in. I’m using "Crush Those Cookies" but forum.palemoon.org is whiteli...

Re: Tobin's forum presence [poll]

Unfortunately he often posts unhelpful and aggressive replies, which I’m sure can drive away from Pale Moon new users looking for information or help in this forum.

Re: is it really practical to set "foes"?

Not being able to follow conversations is the price to pay to avoid harmful users. But the conversation probably wouldn’t be interesting in the first place, anyway… Also thank you for talking about this; I tried again to add someone to my foes list and this time it worked! I hope I won’t read anythi...

Re: Palemoon on Gentoo

Congrats for installing Gentoo, and Pale Moon. You might have missed Walter Dnes’ message. Pulseaudio is not required to have sound. I’ve been using Gentoo and Pale Moon for a few years. At first I built it myself but then I had some issue (I forgot which) and switched to using the official build wh...

Re: ηMatrix/eMatrix support thread

The version with the greek letter is the original name. I see, thanks. I’m using uMatrix 1.1.4 at the moment and everything seems to be working fine, but it’s nice to have a Palemoon-ready version (especially for new users or new installs). How do I type eta in bépo… hmmm… η! Found it :D (altgr-g t...

Re: ηMatrix/eMatrix support thread

Is this a fork of uMatrix? The description is talking about μMatrix, but I’ve never seen uMatrix written like that.

Re: No webm/vp9/opus support?

The "vpx webp x264 x265" flags, and especially "vpx webp" are probably the most critical flags. Does your ffmpeg have them enabled? Yep, I have vpx and opus enabled. webp is not enabled but I doubt it is needed since it’s for still pictures. mpv which depends on ffmpeg is perfectly able to play the...

No webm/vp9/opus support?

Hello, when I try to play the video on this page: https://fosdem.org/2019/schedule/event/blockbuster_game/ I’m told "No video with supported format and MIME type found". If I use youtube-dl to get the video I get a webm with vp9 and opus inside. I have MSE enabled, PM 28.3.1 64 bit (official build),...

Re: Night Mode Addon compatible with 27+?

I agree that having to click twice, and the second time on a tiny checkbox, is a bit annoying, It would be great if a simple left-click on the main icon would switch the mode, while a right click would show the menu.

Re: With the PM v28.3.0 update, Bamboo Feed Reader crashes

Bamboo still works for me, thankfully. (Using the Linux 64 bit version of PM 28.3.0.)

But just in case I made an export of my feeds today… (Already lost them once because Bamboo by default saves them in a *cache* directory on Linux… sigh…)

Re: A web page catches Ctrl+Tab

It's a feature of JavaScript, and it's been around quite a while. Yes. It’s still crazy. Please re-read my previous post. Re-reading your post, however amazingly interesting it may be, does not change the fact that it would be great to have an option to only enable this per-site, with a whitelist. ...

Re: A web page catches Ctrl+Tab

I’m not confronted to this problem often but it seems crazy to me that any web page can override the keyboard shortcuts of the browser. It would be great to have an option to only enable this per-site, with a whitelist.

Re: Changing color of visited hyperlinks

This problem can be solved with the help of NoSquint that provides some extra settings on per site basis. Nice, I didn’t know that NoSquint also did that, but I don’t want it to interfere with my zoom settings (Pale Moon already remembers zoom settings per site, so I don’t understand what NoSquint ...
