Re: Article: "Most Secure Browser List," Palemoon on Top Five list

I always avoid anything that has always been considered "mainstream," case in point: CHROME, FIREFOX, OR I.E. It has become quite obvious as many times as my user data has been compromised first by my bank, all related to mainstream software and association with .gov sites, etc; not by any actions i...

Re: I guess it's time to go!

My opinion and appreciation letter to Palemoon team: Why so many have always write in such great detail about things they do not like, or want to change, or feel like it is acceptable to express their opinion about things that do not matter to most enough to take that much time to make it known. Or ...

Re: Article: "Most Secure Browser List," Palemoon on Top Five list

I do agree with what you all are stating in regards to FF, Tor, and Brave. Not sure what the criteria was used to compile the article. Found in interesting it did not mention Vivaldi either. I have been using it as my secondary browser and it has really come along way with each update. It has free w...

Re: What's the limit for freedom of speech?

Another way to word that question, is what is the price for freedom of speech, instead of limit. Many have died for centuries just to fight for that very right most take for granted.

Re: What's the limit for freedom of speech?

OK, I will bite. Freedom of speech. Doesn't mean the right to say anything to anyone, anytime one feel's like it. I learned that freedoms are earned, not birth rights. I know that words are arbitrary, which basically means they are given the meaning we attach to them, alone words are only sounds. A ...

Re: Pale Moon Browser in Linux Mint v19.0 Repository

Thanks for all your feedback comments. In my Linux Mint v. 19, (Tara). It is now in both the software manager, and in Synaptic. I checked to confirm that much, have not gone further looking. I did check the list here, http://packages.linuxmint.com/ not there. I do believe that finally after adding S...

Re: Captchas hell

My latest work around this "CAPTCHA" crap. I have seen the messages on all browsers. I actually got logged onto one of my daily sites, to take care of business whilce using Pale Moon, latest version 28 in Linux Mint. Firefox, still takes anywhere from 3-10 attempts. I have noticed the images getting...

Pale Moon Browser in Linux Mint v19.0 Repository

Hello Everyone, I just discovered tonight, that Pale Moon is now available in the software repository Linux Mint v.19.0. I think this is great news for anyone who has difficulty using Firefox, the default browser. Hopefully this will lead to more doing the same, even making it another default altern...

Re: PayPal - Your browser is out of date

I do see that message on webpages primarily related to mainstream agency, libraries, colleges, .gov links. Always say my "browser is outdated and please download either "Chrome, Firefox, or Safari, etc," irritating. Not sure on what Paypal has done, I do know on all my Linux computers, including my ...

Re: PayPal - Your browser is out of date

Regarding Paypal login page, beware of "spoof" pages, I have had that happen several times in the last few years. They used to ask for SS number upon login before "Synergy Bank" came onboard. Not now. I had that same message of browser being outdated on other logins but figure they don't like not be...

Re: Captchas hell

I have been thru all my addons, etc. Not using a script blocker. Tried every combination known to man. Safemode, various browsers, etc. I am not surprised it relates to java script. I need to get on my Sony to check things, time for upgrade anyway. This laptop is super sensitive to java script. What...

Re: Captchas hell

To me the answer is obvious, that Google is up to their same old tricks to control, track, and keep people signed in on sites through, by and only with their services. ie: no net neutrality only google. I just read about how they have managed to turn open source code over the years on Android and th...

Re: Palemoon on Linus Mint 19 64 -cannot launch Palmoon-wont open up now?

Regarding Mint 19, with the issue now on the Palemoon downloader, I use the Cinnamon version by the way, all 64 OS. I only have one Dell that is 32, which still runs 17.3 Mint-Cinnamon desktop. They are constantly making improvements with Mint. I have never had any issues with Palemoon on any of my ...

Re: Palemoon on Linus Mint 19 64 -cannot launch Palmoon-wont open up now?

thank you for the suggestions, I did verify it was the correct download. However, it happened before and after. I think it had something to do with the latest Firefox update, my default was switched. It is working ok now. I disabled all addons with safemode to diagnose the situation. I got no error ...
