Re: Videos on streamlive.to

I'm not willing to make this kind of change without there being clear and overwhelming evidence that this is in fact more than just an assumption, and that WebRTC is in fact used by more than a few mainstream sites for live streaming that do not have proper fallbacks. I did some testing with Basili...

Re: Videos on streamlive.to

Why the hell would they want to use WebRTC for straight-up video playback? That makes very little sense to me. Twitch sometimes fails to play a video for the same reason, probably when their centralized server is overloaded. I don't know their criteria, but the video streaming is much faster on Chr...

Re: webM and Video Playback Not Working

Actually, VP9 is also encumbered, but Google has allowed it to be used in an open fashion. As a developer you're given a "grant" to use it. This was actually a problem initially because libvpx (the reference implementation) initially didn't grant VP9 use, only VP8, which was a blocker for updates u...

Re: webM and Video Playback Not Working

VP9 is a codec used by WebM VP9 has been supported by Pale Moon for a long time already -- BUT MSE for WebM has been incomplete and disabled as a result by default, opting for h.264/MP4 formats. That's a shame, since VP9 is open codec unlike the patent-encumbered H264. Any plans to address the MSE ...

Re: Captchas hell

Seems today the worse happened. Captchas won't even be accepted anymore in some websites. When logging in, I do finish them, they seem accepted, green tick is there. I input everything and then click Log in, but it says "Invalid Captcha". I tried 3 different times until I gave up as it might lock u...

Re: Captchas hell

I don't mind the street signs, you can complete them fast.

But the other ones that fade in and out in 10 seconds for EACH picture of a stupid car or bus... now that's pure meh.

Re: Pale Moon Portable Unstable fails to extract

Check your RAM with memtest86+ overnight.

This is a common symptom of bad memory cells, and doesn't hurt to rule it out. If you do get errors then remove each RAM stick one-by-one until errors go away then you know which one is at fault and should be replaced.

Re: Youtube playlist randomizer site not working anymore in PM

A message to everyone who reports bugs before even seeing if it's an extension or not. When you find a bug, just download a portable pale moon (same version), launch it with -profile to some temporary area, and see if the bug persists with nothing else meddling with it (no configs, extensions, fresh...

Re: Important: NoScript users and our support

So you guys are taking a stability issue and directly .. BY CHOICE turning it into a SECURITY issue by disabling the blocklist. How does THAT make sense?! Not a security issues if you don't install extensions. Can always turn it back on when installing new ones and off afterwards (if no warning). A...

Re: Important: NoScript users and our support

How do I disable Palemoon from blocking NoScript or popping up the message? (manual setting please). Someone said "extensions.blocklist.enabled;false", does this suffice? This should be mentioned in the first post, IMO. My opinion: I don't care if NoScript breaks websites, or disabling JS. I'd rathe...

Re: gcc.godbolt.org doesn't work properly (display is frozen)

Thought I would mention this. Since this desktop tower computer is an old 2010 model with an old Nvidia GT220 graphics card; in Preferences, in Advanced, under the General tab, I have "Use hardware acceleration when available".........unchecked. Thanks, I tried that along with fiddling with other o...

Re: gcc.godbolt.org doesn't work properly (display is frozen)

One interesting thing to mention... If you have too much of that diff view tabs open, it affects the browser and the page functionality. In that case i take it back what i said about theoretical missing ecmascript features. In my case it was just that somehow there have been tons of that "tabs" ope...

Ok, this is weird as shit, since mine isn't even blue but "black" background (on PM), but it should be blue (on Chrome). Note that I tested it on a completely fresh profile, literally, so it had zero extensions or any custom settings done, so I'm completely baffled why this happens but not on you gu...

gcc.godbolt.org doesn't work properly (display is frozen)

The site https://gcc.godbolt.org/ doesn't display properly and seems it's "frozen", only the top menu bar displays (but clicking on anything is also useless). It's hard to explain, but use for example Chrome and see for yourself how it should work. It used to work a long time ago, but I believe the ...

Re: NoScript 5.1.2 hangs Palemoon when changing link in address bar

Well when I said that I don't mind changes I meant like "patching NoScript" or something (if someone is knowledgeable), I'm not afraid of "technical workarounds" like that is what I meant. However, I don't mind alternatives so thanks for the suggestions. I'm one generally to stick to what I know but...

Sad, since this is more annoying than I thought to even track down. :( Based on your comment I downloaded completely fresh Palemoon and using a completely clean (empty) profile. (I use the -profile command line option with script and sandbox, never used "Portable" version personally). Still hangs (b...

Actually I've used both Linux & Windows x86 (32 bit) versions and they both hang (64-bit OS though, Mint 17.1 and Win7). Now I even tested the Windows version on Linux via Wine and it still hangs... And for me it hangs even with no other extensions (well, I kind of eliminated them all except NoScrip...

NoScript 5.1.2 hangs Palemoon when changing link in address bar

Using Palemoon 27.5.1, both Windows and Linux versions, hang with latest NoScript. I don't update NoScript/PM that often because of things like these, so last version I had of NoScript was 5.0.3 (basically any version in-between could be the culprit). Here's how to reproduce it 100% on my end: 1) La...
