Re: Ahhh, you know. Because we know best!

Tech-left strikes again?

How about having a word processor letting you write what you want to write?

(and yes we can apply that here, retroactively, on all posts -- "█████ █████" is now censored XD)

Try sorting on publication date :)
You'll want Visual Studio Community 2015 with the latest update rolled in.

Re: Waterfox has Jumped the Shark

Goanna is basically a rebranded Gecko engine. 95%+ of the code is identical. This means it's a fork. A re-branded engine is 100% identical. Not 99%, not 95%. All those browsers – without exception – would vanish if Mozilla decided to end Gecko development. I think the Pale Moon team wouldn't mind i...

Re: Can't download any extensions on Firefox site

addons.mozilla.org is telling the truth: the extensions on that site are for Firefox only. They made sure of that since November last year by removing all "legacy" extensions.

Re: Which extensions to download YouTube videos currently work?

This is a general reminder that downloading streaming videos is almost never legally allowed because they operate under different licenses (streaming vs. permanent storage). Even if downloading is allowed, another hurdle is using the downloaded video for anything other than personal viewing (includi...

With all those changes it simply is no longer Pale Moon! Also, are they really going to support WebExtensions? 8-) Good luck!

Re: GPG/PGP key for trava90 link 404

Looks like the MIT PGP keyserver is having issues (it's very slow) and might have lost a lot of public keys, since it can't find keys I know for a fact have been uploaded before.
You may want to use pool.sks-keyservers.net or keys.gnupg.net instead.

That is technically not possible in phpBB.

Re: What's the limit for freedom of speech?

And in general, freedoms are given, not taken . This remark *has* to be a troll remark to see who bites. I was quite serious, but maybe my expression requires a bit of explanation because I see now that it could be read wrong if people think about freedoms "being taken" as "being taken away" (even ...

Re: What's the limit for freedom of speech?

I think freedom of speech has a few simple rules of thumb: If you don't want to hear it, don't seek it out. i.e.: if you know you won't agree with a certain topic, don't put yourself in a position where you will be exposed to it. If you get offended by what is said, don't listen. i.e.: if something ...

Re: 24 new add-ons for palemoon

We did re-evaluate how long a period to use for the "inactive" criterion, and seeing the relatively large ratio of purged accounts -- it's been increased to a 2 years threshold which should be a good compromise (at the date of the purge, account inactivity will be 2-3 years, depending on what time ...

Remain active to keep your account.

We've been doing annual user account purges for years, but those new to this forum may not be aware of this privacy policy upheld on this forum. Since we've recently re-evaluated the inactive period, let me make our policy clear in this post: Every year, around the start of the year, we remove user ...

Annual user purge

Later this week we will be taking the forum down for a few hours to do database maintenance and to purge inactive user accounts in accordance with our privacy policy. We tend to do this at the start of each year to keep forum accounts relevant and to not unnecessarily store personal information on o...
