Specific function on webpage is not working in Pale Moon

Unread post by YLORAK » 2018-02-09, 13:20

On this site: https://www.notebooksbilliger.de/notebooks the filter functions (checkboxes, sliders, page selections...) are not working.
I have tried already in safe mode, no success. I am experiencing the same problem in Pale Moon on Windows7 and on Lubuntu, too.
In FF, IE, Chrome it is ok.

Any idea?

CORS issue.. The site needs to adjust their CORS headers to allow the ajax requests to work.

I am just wondering, how other browsers get around this problem: the site is working properly in FF.

New Tobin Paradigm put me on the right track: user agent problem.
If I select the user agent in Pale Moon preferences, none of them is working (Native, Firefox Compatibility, Gecko Compatibility).

I have set in about:config:
general.useragent.override.notebooksbilliger.de
to
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:52.9) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.9 (Pale Moon)

No it works fine. I will instal an extension for user agent switching, just in case...
Thank you guys!

Same problem @ digi.no.

Example:

Click on "Comments" (Kommentarer) below the article.

Don't know if it can be fixed by a UA override though.
At least, I haven't found one that makes it work.

The comments loads just fine in SeaMonkey.

Does not work in Otter-Browser and also not in IE11. Most likely that page was designed to work in Chrome - which does not care if the page is built in a messy way, while Pale Moon demands a more strict and clear structured way.

Later Firefox engines have been made "compatible to Chrome's way of handling things" by Mozilla - so it works logically in Seamonkey too.
