Relocation of servers.

Unread post by Admin » 2013-05-22, 10:49

Our server provider will be moving servers next week to a new datacenter location to switch to a more reliable upstream provider.

As a result there may be some downtime on Wednesday the 29th of May (servers will be moved one by one to ensure as little downtime as possible for the affected services).

This will impact the following:
  • The Pale Moon website (http://www.palemoon.org)
  • The automatic update server (for the internal updater)
  • The Pale Moon ancillary download mirror
The website will be cached by CloudFlare, but depending on your location you may experience some downtime.

Because this move also involves a change of IP for the servers involved, it may take some time for the new IP to be propagated, but all efforts are being made to make this propagation as quick as possible to minimize downtime.
Did you know that moral outrage triggers the pleasure centers of the brain? It's unlikely you can actually get addicted to outrage, but there is plausible evidence that you can become strongly predisposed to it.
