[Solved] Can't right-click on taskbar icon
Operating system: Windows 7
Browser version: 19.0-x64
Since upgrading to version 19, I can't right-click the icon on the task bar.
I could, however, click the old one (from which I could launch Pale Moon), but when starting up, it spawns a new icon, which I can't pin.
It was fine on my Win 8 32bit laptop, but not on my main computer.
Got ideas?

Re: Can't right-click on taskbar icon
Hi,
As I understand things, you have a pinned Pale Moon icon on the left of the Taskbar. And when you click on this icon, the system spawns a second enlarged tabbed “icon”. Here is what to do if you want to have only a single Pale Moon icon on your Taskbar:
1. Click the small non-tabbed Pale Moon icon to open Pale Moon if it isn’t already running. Your system should spawn a second enlarged Pale Moon tabbed icon.
2. Right-click the small non-tabbed Pale Moon icon (the one that launched Pale Moon in the first place), and unpin it from the Taskbar.
3. Close the still running instance of Pale Moon through the standard means of the Pale Moon interface.
You should be left with only one Pale Moon icon on your Taskbar. If you click that small icon to launch Pale Moon, the system should no longer spawn a second tabbed icon. Instead, the small icon will automatically be enlarged to a Taskbar tab allowing you to switch to the running instance of Pale Moon.
HTH.
Cheers,
Robert

Re: Can't right-click on taskbar icon
Here's a video-representation of the problem that I'm having: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQj5eYA7Xvg
Edit: When I unpin that icon, that I pinned in the video, it just removed the icon from the taskbar and after closing Pale Moon, I'm back at the start of the video.

Re: Can't right-click on taskbar icon
Did you test the solution from the posted link?
Unpin PM, start PM, rightclick on PM in the windows superbar, pin it

Re: Can't right-click on taskbar icon
That's the thing, I can't right-click on the new spawned icon, it just does nothing.dark_moon wrote:Did you test the solution from the posted link?

You can see on the video when I'm clicking when the mouse icon turns black. When I'm left-clicking on it, it either minimizes or maximizes the window. When I'm right-cliking it, nothing happens.
Re: Can't right-click on taskbar icon
And another update: must be yet another Windows bug, since the restarting of Windows helped it
Maybe it would have been enough, to restart just Windows Explorer, but I didn't try it, so who knows.
Case closed.
