The Beta doesn't have the initial block loading issue.

Actually 2GB is 2048MB.

This is uBlock Origin, correct?
I'm using "UBlock 0.9.5.0.1-let-fixed". Would I be better off using Origin 1.5.2?

Ublock's code hasn't changed since December 8th, over a month ago. Ublock Origin commited some code 5 hours ago. I'm sure there are other reasons, but on development alone, Ublock is much more stagnant than Ublock Origin. I would switch.

Thanks. UO does appear better. I noticed by default, Ublock whitelisted "about-scheme", and Ublock Origin whitelists "blank.about-scheme". Which is the best choice? All other whitelist defaults are the same.

There is a problem with uBlock Origin 1.6.0 RC2. It doesn't block popups at all. I mean it blocks connection to the sites, but not popups.
Version 1.6.0 RC1 is working fine.

That is incorrect. Where does that "December 8th" come from? (that would be over two months ago, not "over a month ago").

uBlock's last commit was August 23, 2015. More significantly, uBlock has not seen meaningful development since May 2015 -- commits after that time are mostly maintenance commits to unbreak the extension, and mostly for Safari. The last meaningful commits for Firefox/Pale Moon specifically were June 2015, by Alex Vallat, to fix issues.

You provide no details on how anybody can reproduce this.

uBO passes all the popup blocking tests (Pale Moon 25.8.1). Popup blocking depends on filters, if there are no filters for a specific popup, it won't be blocked.

You are right, it is working fine now. I don't know what was the problem before.
BTW, can you do something about popup in the new tab here :

http://go4up.com/dl/cf01d1b1f34e

Maybe you could create some custom filter.

I've noticed something very strange with uBO. New Block media elements feature is working great in Pale Moon, but not in Cyberfox and Firefox
with the same settings (imported from uBO in Pale Moon). YouTube videos (HTML 5), embedded or on YouTube site are not blocked. Other videos are blocked.
Block media elements larger than is set to 200 kB.
Since settings are the same I guess it is some preference in about:config .
Can anyone confirm this ?

I'm going to lock this thread since ABE is long since dead -- if you want to keep a thread open for uBlock updates and general information, feel free to create a new dedicated topic for that.
