Have you tried uninstalling Pale Moon, and then reinstalling Pale Moon? A thought comes to mind that some of files of your Pale Moon installation may be corrupt.Aleph wrote:Hi Axiomatic,

I'll get one built either tonight or tomorrow. Aleph, I'll shoot you a PM once it's ready.Axiomatic wrote:Off-topic:
Are there any binaries for the Linux builds with debugging symbols enabled? If so someone should provide Aleph with a build. Then we can use gdb to be certain whether is a Pale Moon issue or a third party interaction issue.

Aleph, PM has been sent (sorry for the delay!)
Re: Palemoon crashes all the time here too
Hi trava90,
thanks for the debug version.
I tried it but now I can't get the crash...
I will continuous testing.
Anyway here is a copy of the output:

Re: Palemoon crashes all the time here too
After many tests I never had a crash with this built.
Also I tried a new blank user with palemoon -p. Always was stable (although very very slow and heavy)
What now...?
Any suggestion?

Re: Palemoon crashes all the time here too
I'm not really familiar with AntiX. Looks like it uses Fluxbox/IceWM? Does it include all the necessary GTK dependencies for Pale Moon?
Re: Palemoon crashes all the time here too
Iceweasel - Firefox runs fine on Antix.
Are you implying that additional, special "GTK dependencies" exist for Palemoon?
If yes, which ones are these dependencies?

Re: Palemoon crashes all the time here too
No, there shouldn't be any special dependencies. I'm just not familiar with AntiX, Fluxbox or IceWM, so it was just a thought.

Re: Palemoon crashes all the time here too
I installed AntiX in a VM today and used the installer to install Pale Moon. I use it for a while, and while I do get the "`GtkRange::activate-slider'" message in the terminal, I did not notice any instability and could not reproduce the crashes that the OP reported (all OS settings, themes, etc. left at default)
Re: Palemoon crashes all the time here too
Hi trava90,
yes, some people in antiX had problems with Palemoon and others not.
My antiX "full" installation in very simple, pointing to the Debian jessie "stable" repositories, locale "es_ES.UTF-8" and with not more programs installed as OTB except "Spotify".
Spotify installed some libreries:
- libpangoxft-1.0-0
- libgcrypt11_1.5.4-3_amd64.deb
I followed this instructions:
http://linuxconfig.org/installation-of-spotify-client-on-debian-linux-8-jessie-64-bit
I have not more clues for find an explanation to this problem.

Re: Palemoon crashes all the time here too
@Aleph
Has Pale Moon 25.6.0 fixed the segmentation faults (crashes) you were experiencing, or do the release builds still cause crashes for you?

Re: Palemoon crashes all the time here too
See if you can reproduce the crashes with our 25.6.0 build.
Re: Palemoon crashes all the time here too
As another test, can you try to run Pale Moon on an antiX Live System?

your buit works fine!
What should I do now?
Re: Palemoon crashes all the time here too
Use it Well, get rid of everything Pale Moon related that does not work and install that built. You could either use the pmsintaller or install manually following theseAleph wrote:What should I do now?

Re: Palemoon crashes all the time here too
Sounds like something with the Mepis build caused the instability on AntiX.Aleph wrote:just installed the new Pale Moon 25.6.0 version from the Mepis repositories and I got the same error
As Sven said, just remove the Mepis build and then install Pale Moon directly from us and you should be good.
Re: Palemoon crashes all the time here too
Maybe it'd also be a good idea to nudge the Mepis repo maintainer that there's a problem with their build?
