smoothscroll big jump bug on youtube videolists

Unread post by ipsirc » 2016-05-12, 04:38

as the title says: the scroll isn't smooth on https://www.youtube.com/feed/subscriptions in tile or grid mode either. The scrolling started smoothly, then make a big jump, then end in smoothly.
When i scroll other video list, like: https://www.youtube.com/user/tvnorge/videos , the scrolling is less...hard? i don't know the world for this. It jumps smaller in the middle of the scroll.

PaleMoon 26.2.2 , and all cpu cores are below 50%. Scrolling on other pages as smooth as expected.

This may be a side effect of loading on demand of the YouTube pages. Smooth scrolling is a very low latency operation and network traffic can interrupt this, making the scrolling less smooth.

The network traffic is zero during the scroll. Try it yourself!

For example the scroll on facebook is still smooth while dynamically loading images. Only youtube has this glitch effect.

Just tested with PM 26.2.2 (x86) and the entire page and the second page both scrolled smoothly with no jumps.
