Pale Moon 26.2.1 on LinuxMint 17.3
LinuxMint 17.3 with Oxygen desktop theme.
Pale Moon 26.2.1 crashes when i click on the toolbar, left or right-click doesn´t matter.
I have updated Oxygen to the latest version.
PM doesn´t crash with Air theme, but the background colors of the dropdown menues are weird.
The menues are "see-through", you can´t see the cursor.
Is there a way to make PM work with Oxygen ?
Are there any other themes that works with PM ?
If i have to use Air, how can i change the background colors of the dropdown menues ?

It's a known issue with the oxygen-gtk theme. A fix has been committed, but there doesn't appear to be any new releases containing the fix. To my knowledge, any other theme should work with Pale Moon.
Some themes contain a userChrome.css to make the theme work better with Firefox/Pale Moon. Check the documentation for Air and see if the have a userChrome.css available.

Why are XUL apps given special handling anyway? And by reading the executable name?! This is just going to keep breaking. (Not necessarily for Pale Moon, but for any future XUL apps.)
The theme should work with any app. If it doesn't, then either it or the app is broken. This is going to sound rude, but I'd be too ashamed to ever commit code this hacky to any publicly visible OSS project.

As for the transparent drop down menus, I've only seen that with the 'Theme Font & Size Changer' add-on. Specifically by selecting 'Enable support for context menus'. Works fine in Windows; doesn't in Mint. If TF&SC - or similar - isn't in use, I'd presume it was the browser theme (one of those with an extra 'extension').

I'll see about adding a fixed version of the oxygen-gtk theme to the Pale Moon OBS repository.

You could find a GTK2 theme theme that looks similar to Oxygen, then use this from your menu to launch:hackerman1 wrote:LinuxMint 17.3 with Oxygen desktop theme.

Code: Select all
GTK2_RC_FILES=/usr/share/themes/Adwaita/gtk-2.0/gtkrc palemoon %u

The patched gtk2-engines-oxygen is now in the OBS repo for Debian 7 and 8, and Ubuntu 12.04, 14.04, 15.04, 15.10, and 16.04. It's also aware of Fossa Mail.
