Link in a mail opens browser, but not URL

Unread post by umbhaki » 2015-11-26, 17:45

Hello together,

I'm new with FossaMail and just like it. It is v25.1.9 I'm using on Linux Lubuntu 15.10 32bit. There is only one problem for me, with links in a mail I get. Clicking this link, a new instance of Pale Moon is started, but Pale Moon just shows the Home Page but does not direct to the linked URL.

Pale Moon now is v26.0.0b3 (x86) and I have installed the Speed Dial add-on. Pale Moon is defined as my standard browser in the Linux alternatives. This works fine with Claws-Mail that I used up to now.

Is there any setting I missed? I don't find the solution.

I think, I've found the solution (with a little help from the german ubuntuusers-wiki). In the configuration file I changed the value of:

Code: Select all

network.protocol-handler.warn-external.ftp
network.protocol-handler.warn-external.http
network.protocol-handler.warn-external.https
from "false" to "true". So FossaMail asked me which program I want to use when clicking a URL. Here I selected Pale Moon, and now everything works as it should.

So this topic is already solved.
