Why does localization auto-update not work?
Why does localization auto-update not work?
Hi all,
I am using PM together with German de.xpi. Well done, tnx to the translators!
But every time when there comes an update of PM, I manually have to download and install the langpack! Addons are checked and auto-updated. Langpack not. Why???
Can you please also include langpack file in auto-update mechanism?
It is really annoying and I do not see any reason why updating a langpack should be treated different form updationg an addon.
Tnx in advance,
Enkidu

Re: WHy does localization auto-update not work?
Because Pale Moon specific add-ons are not yet able to be updated automatically by the add-on manager. This will be resolved in the future. Great care must be taken to provide both updates to Pale Moon add-ons as well as those from AMO.
Re: Why does localization auto-update not work?
Tnx for the explanation. Now I understand the problem.
Well, maybe it would be a solution to create an addon doing this job until there is a real solution!?
Cheers,
Enkidu

Re: Get your files for localization and instructions HERE
I noticed that the language packs are now updated automatically. Awesome!

Re: Why does localization auto-update not work?
Okay, so is this why I keep having to reset from English (United States) to English (United Kingdom)? Not that I afaik have to download an update. Or is the problem that I do need to update?
(You know, when you're English, and live in England, it can really grate seeing your spelling repeatedly flagged!)

If you're referring to the language for the Spell Checker, I think you'll find a solution for your problem in this topic.Joel Cairo wrote:Okay, so is this why I keep having to reset from English (United States) to English (United Kingdom)?
