Recently I discovered that I can no longer open .maff files in Pale Moon on my computer.
The thing is, none of the obvious fixes have worked.
I tried installing the new Pale Moon version of the Maff plugin (MozArchiver) and that stopped maff files from crashing the program, but they still didn't display.
I also tried grabbed the installed for v 25.8.1 and tried running that to roll back the version. That didn't work either. So I rolled it all the way back to 25.0.0; even that didn't work.
Any ideas?

Re: .Maff files won't open even with new MozArchiver add-on
Please use a clean profile, as both MAF and MozArchiver (which are basically one in the same) reach deep into the system such that traces are left behind after their association. This is being looked into, but for now a clean profile is the best solution.
As an aside, there was no need to create two topics for this.

How does one do that and what does it entail?
Will I lose my bookmarks or have to reinstall my add-ons?

You can check here to see how to make a clean profile:

Yes, your bookmarks and extensions will be erased. You can backup your bookmarks at least, however, using the bookmarks manager window.

Ehh... Can you use something like FEBE to back up your extensions?
