[Solved] v. 24.7 won't work with Google Maps

I've been using Google Maps a lot lately. Could not make it work after upgrading to 24.7 the other day. Backed up to v. 24.5 and it works fine (it worked fine with Google Chrome, also). (Pale Moon 24.5 64-bit)

Using that workaround makes Google go to the basic version of the Google homepage. (The black bar at the top and no App-type button at top right)
I got the UA that Pale Moon uses for other websites, and Google, including Google Maps, works perfectly.
Don't know the exact reason, though.

Google.com woes should be fixed in 24.7.1 - as long as Google doesn't take it upon itself to start warning people about "outdated browsers" when it sees "24.7"

Google Maps still don't work for me with 24.7.1. The map loads, but it is stuck at the default location and I can't move it anywhere. The old (classic) version is working fine.

Both versions should work in 24.7.1 (I've used both today, in fact). Try a force-refresh (Ctrl+F5) or clearing your cache/cookies.

The new Google Maps works for me although I'm using 64 bit linux Pale Moon 24.7.1 in 64 bit linux Mint 17.

Clearing cookies and cache did the trick, the new maps are working now. Thank you.

If anyone is still having trouble and doesn't want to mess with about:config, they can give Bing Maps a try. It's similar to the old Google Maps and still has all the same features (yes, even Street View).

Thanks for the tip on Bing Maps. I didn't even know Bing Maps existed.

Both the new Google Maps and Bing Maps work for me and I'm using 64 bit linux Pale Moon 24.7.1 as I type this message.
