Show context menu in History menu

Unread post by squarefractal » 2015-02-07, 17:05

Right clicking an entry from Menu bar > Bookmarks brings up a context menu that has options to delete it, add a bookmark, edit it and so on. But Menu bar > History doesn't have the same behaviour.

Could the behaviour of the History menu be made same as with the Bookmarks menu.

It should be possible to bind the sidebar menu to it, and sync it up that way.
I opened it as an issue on github for tracking

This doesn't seem to be getting any traction on github. I was wondering if Moonchild is thinking about implementing this in a future release?

Patches are welcome to this effect. It's front-end code, so should be relatively easy for people who might not be too well-versed in Mozilla code to pick up and have a go at. You have to understand I can't personally implement every suggestion offered. We need help from the community :)

Understood, thanks. I've never done anything like this before but I'll poke around on github and see what I can do. I have some time and I'm willing to learn.

I realize that this is an old thread but I recently noticed that a context menu was added for history menu items and I just wanted to say how grateful I am for that small but badly needed addition to the interface. A Firefox enhancement for that was opened in Bugzilla over 10 years ago and, since Mozilla has done away with such "primitive" things as menus, will now never be addressed.

Just another of the many reasons to use PaleMoon - thanks!
