"Some Useful Quick Links

Unread post by DesertDon » 2014-04-20, 06:59

Pale Moon Starts running with a page showing "Some Useful Quick Links." It would be a further improvement if these links actually corresponded to the already bookmarked sites most frequently visited. I also notice that, in this message space, a spell checker is in operation. Is there a way to put this spell checker into operation when typing into various other online message spaces?

If you want the QuickDial page (with the most recently/frequently viewed sites) as your home page, you can go to Options -> General, and in the "Home Page" box, type about:newtab. You can pin certain pages and remove the ones you don't want from there.

Spellchecking depends on the websites actually indicating a certain input field is a text input type. That's under the control of the webmasters.
You can extend the spellchecking feature to single line boxes and a few other elements as well:
  1. Type about:config into your Firefox location bar
  2. Filter for spellcheck
  3. Double-click layout.spellcheckDefault and set its value to 2
Moving this to support.
